I woke up with blinding hospital lights in my face. I needed to devise a plan to get out of there and get back to John. All this without getting caught and arrested for being a bystander to a murder that John didn't do. I have no idea what that plan is, but I needed to figure it out quickly since I'm pretty sure there's not that much wrong with me. I look around, and there's no one in the room. Looking out the window, I could tell I was on the first floor. That's my way out. I heard nurses speaking outside my room, but I couldn't make anything out. A nurse comes in and checks my blood pressure. She didn't say anything, and I didn't dare to speak. I was scared I would say something that would get me caught. She leaves and shuts the door behind her. This was the one time I could do it. I didn't want to wait and risk it all. I got out of bed and unattached everything that was connected to me. To my surprise, I walk over to the window, and it slides right up. How convenient. This meant that literally any psycho patient, including myself, could escape. I jump out the window and run to The Wreck. It was the only safe place I could think of right now. I ran as fast as I could, dodging any sight of police cars. I knew that I had to be on the run now. Especially if I had just escaped the hospital after they admitted me. I ran through the forest because I knew that would be my safest option. In front of me, I could see a police camp set up by the water. I was a hundred feet away from them, so they couldn't see me. I started to run the opposite way when I bumped into someone.

"Shit. I'm sorry," I say. I look up and see Sarah. Oh.

"Kassie?" she asks.

"Yeah, uh, what are you doing?" I say, "and where's John?"

"Back at the place where we're hiding out," she explains, "I'm going to get you two cleared once and for all." She gestures to the camp.

"You're not going to," I trail off.

"Turn my brother and father in? Yeah, I am."

"Woah, that's massive." Maybe she does have a change of heart.

"I hope everything works out the way we need it to."

"Me too. I don't know if I can run forever," I joke.

"Well, you better start running, just in case," she says.

"Yeah, probably. Good luck," I say before running in the opposite direction. I run all the way to The Wreck. I had a feeling at least Kie would be there. I burst through the doors and ran to the back. Kie and JJ were in the back, just about to start packing food.

"Kassie!" Kie yells and brings me into a hug.

"Where's John B?" JJ asks.

"With Sarah, he's safe," I pant out, "at least I think he is. I just saw Sarah. She was going to try to clear our names."

"We'll see how far that goes," JJ mutters.

Kie turns her attention back to JJ as I help to start packing food as well. "Was Pope acting weird?" Kie asks.

"You sure he wasn't just being weird, Pope?" JJ responds. What happened with Pope? I missed it a lot.

"It wasn't really the kind of thing that needed interpretation," Kie says, "is that enough food for them?"

"I mean, for a couple of weeks, and that's all they need." Kie cut JJ off.

"Look, I think I actually hurt his feelings," Kie exclaims.

After we had all the food in a box, we brought it outside. "Look, don't beat yourself up too much. He's completely changed his feels," JJ says, "the past 24 hours have been like Jekyll and Hyde."
