Izuku's POV:

I really didn't feel good at all. When I came back to my senses I could see that I was in a fish tank on a boat or something. There was metal around me but I was definitely in water as well. Not only that but I could feel the waves rooking the ship back and forth.

FUCK!

They really got me!

How am I going to get out of here?!

I should try and swim up to the survive of this.. Pool? What is this even?

Metal...

Not glass?

At least no fish tank I guess.... But the water is quite cold...

While I was looking around, I completely forgot about my wound until I started to swim up. That was the moment I stopped instantly because of the pain from my fin. It hurt soo much that I just stopped and let myself sink to the bottom once again.

My fin!

I can't swim with it!

Damn it!

This is bad!

This IS BAD!!

What should I do?

I was so out of it that I didn't know what to do at all. Panic was overcoming my complete body and all I knew was to look around and just worry what would happen next. These poachers were talking about getting rich from what I could remember which meant that they for sure were about to sell me off and that meant that I could kiss my freedom goodbye.

I have to get up!

No matter what it is...

There is no lid after all... maybe it is connected to the deck of the boat?

If that is true I should be able to jump out!

But...

My fin!!!!

Gosh I will regret this!

But if I don't do that then I might as well be dead sooner or later!

And till Kacchan comes... who knows how much time he has!

I was overthinking everything at this moment. It was true that I didn't had much time and it was just a stupid idea but I had to free myself at least and get to the next shore for help. With these injuries there was no way I would be able to swim at all. Still I valued my life and I felt death knocking at my door calling my name at this moment and it just scared me. I was ready to ignore the pain and probably ruin my fin even more but if that meant that I would live then it was worth it.

Okay....

Calm down first... Deep breath!

Me: *breathing in*....*breathing out*.... You got this!

There wasn't much time left. In fact time was my worst enemy about right now but I couldn't do just nothing and sit by watching the poacher get me out of here and sell me to who knows which snobbish idiot had the money for it.

Once I got my mind to it, I started to slowly swim up, using my hands more instead of my fin to look if it would be even possible to jump over the railing of the boats deck. It looked possible for me but it was dangerous since I could see two other people on deck.

Should I really gamble my life on it or should I wait?

That was the question until I heard these people talk again.

???: We are close to getting out of Japans waters just a couple of miles left.

???: Once we are out no one can get us responsible for that Mermaid.

WHAT?!

I have to get out of here!!

If I don't then I can forget getting rescued completely.

They gonna ship me off to another country!!!!

I am doomed!

I have to do this!

I would rather accept death than be put in a tank for decorations!

That was the last push I needed to swim down to the bottom of the tank and close my eyes meditating for a bit. I had to forget the pain and everything else completely focusing on the task before I would do it. A couple of minutes went by before I started to swim with full speed up. It was hard and it hurt like hell but it was worth it since the moment I leaped out of the water towards the railing, I knew I did the right thing.

The only problem was that my leap was not powerful enough but thankfully the railing was in arms reach when I was still in the air to grab and pull myself over it doing a direct drop into the water.

I DID IT!

I REALLY DID IT!

It was too early to actually celebrate because as soon as I entered the water, harpoons came at me cutting my skin and my tail but this time I hid under the boat in order for them to not get me.

Me: Anyone! Please! Help!

A very desperate attempt as I felt all my strength loosen up, I was really in no state to swim away at all.

Me: Blanche.... I really would need you now buddy....

As if that shark heard me, it appeared out of no where and let me lean on it.

Me: Did you trail the boat?

It shook his head for a bit but then I saw another shark one that I never saw before and I instinctively knew that that little one was the one who trailed the boat and being able to hide itself safely because of the size and it's color.

Me: Thank you.

That was all I had to say for that little guy to nod and then swim off. Meanwhile Blanche started to swim slowly towards the next shore but we were more than just a couple of miles away and it would need hours for us to get to it.  Tho I was still bleeding and I was also way to tired after that stunt to stay away but I knew that Blanche was keeping me safe so I just gave in and trusted my little companion of a shark to get me to safety.
