Lord Richard Edward Howard II is the eldest son and child of Lord Richard Edward Howard SR who is the second son and child of Lord Charles Andrew Howard SR and Lady Alexandra Elizabeth Spencer Churchill.

Lord Richard Edward Howard was born in 2212, two years after his father became Duke of Norfolk Territory on Star Base 12.

Later in 2215 he was joined by a younger brother, Lord Edwin William Howard and a sister, Lady Sophia Charlotte Howard in 2220, and his older brother was Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR who was born in 2209.

Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior also had a daughter, Lady Isabella Edwina Howard born in 2256 at the same time Lord Robert Frederick Carey's wife, Lady Lettice gave birth to Lady Philadelphia Essex Carey and at the same time Lord Edward Howard wife, Lady Louisa Lennox gave birth to their daughter, Lady Andrea Charlotte Howard.
