"Honey! Your going to be late for school! It's your first day. You need to make a good impression." My granny yell up the stairs. I lived with my grandparents now. It's been 7 months since my old life died.
My brother and father were on a perimeter run when Ryan died. My father said he kill the rest of the rogues who attacked them but there were a dozen of them and their leader was able to kill Ryan before he could get to them. After that day everything went down hill. The next week my father was a shell of a man. Mack, my fathers beta had to take over and he took care of Ryan's funeral. Everyone was mourning Ryan's death though. So the day of the funeral we were at our weakest. The pack of rogues knew that to. When they attacked us we weren't ready and they had dozens of strong rogues with them. The new rogue leader killed my father and mother. Before they were killed though they ordered me to run to grandma's and wait for them to come get me.
My whole pack was slaughter that night and I still have nightmares ever night about the fighting.
"Avery!"my grandma yelled again.
I ran down the stairs and said good morning to them. I grabbed a Nutrivalley bar and told grandma I was running late.
"But dear you need a good breakfast." My grandma scolded but I was already heading to the door.
"Bye sweat heart. Have a good first day." My grandpa yelled looking over his newspaper
"Bye." I yelled over my shoulder before the front door closed. I then climbed into my 4runner ford and drove off.
The drive to the high school wasn't long. About 10 minutes. When I pulled in to the parking lot I parked at the end of the lot. Not wanting to immediately attract attention to my self. When I look around though I saw a group of extremely expensive looking cars. What was that? This is public high school. Then I saw the group of kids standing around them. They were slowly walking towards school but some still hung around their cars. That's when the wind blew in my face. Werewolves. Those must be the pups from the pack my grandparents were in. I quickly walked into the school. Avoiding all those wolves. I didn't want to talk to them. Atleast I didn't want to be ask why I came here. I can't talk about him. Grandma kept asking if I wanted to talk but I couldn't. The pain is still there. Waking up every morning and not seeing any of them.
I went strait for the office, sighing a breath of release that no one noticed me.
"Can I help you?" A lady asked behind the desk.
"Uumm I am a new student. I need my schedule and stuff." I said walking over to her.
"Ok what's ur name darling?" She smiled sweetly at me. See seemed nice.
"Avery Stone" I said. The lady then typed into her computer and printed out my schedule. She then passed me a bunch of text books.
"Here you go. These are all your books you will need and you lockers number 218. Have a good first day." She said waved to me.
I said thanks and then headed to my locker. There were a bunch of kids talking in the hall way and it made it a little difficult to find my locker but I eventually did. When I got to it though it wouldn't open. Then a fist banged into it and it opened.
"These are old lockers. Just put in the combo and bang it." A kid said behind me.
"Thanks" I said putting all my stuff in the locker. I then looked around and saw the kid. It was a tall guy. He had blonde hair with bright green eyes. He was also very well built. His arms had muscle roped around his whole arm. And his tight blue shirt showed hints of a well defined Abs. I also could smell wolf on him.
"My names jace." He smiled at me.
That's when the bell rang for first. Saved my the bell. I quickly walked away then. I didn't want anything to do with wolves right now. When I looked back he looked confused but then looked smile and ran of in the opposite direction. Thank god.
