How could he be alive? Is it really Ryan? If Kane say it is it has to be right? An alpha wouldn't like about that, right? Is it Ryan my brother I knew my whole life or is it someone else? A rouge? But Ryan loved pack life. Even though the alpha training was brutal I know he loved it. He despises rogues ever since the attack on Marcy and her family.

Ryan just turned 16 and was learning all the pack duties. He constintly went on patrols in wolf form to get use to running the pack boarders in wolf form.

Marcy was on 2 when her family went on a picnic. They were attacked by rogues and Ryan was the only wolf close to there location. Ryan had rushed to help them. With his alpha strength and speed he was able to get there in record time and was able to help fight of the rogues but he still was getting use to his wolf. He was able to hold of the rogues till my father got there but Marcy and her parents were almost mauled to death and soon died after. Ever since then Jason held old pure hatred for rogues.

He would never turn into what he hated. Would he? If he hadn't died February 20th what happened then? All these question we're swimming in my head. I had to see him. I needed to know the truth.

"Jason" I looked up at him with sadness, confusion and desperation evident in my eyes.

He looked down at me with concern. I had cried in his lap for over an hour and now I was just staring at nothing, loss in thought.

"I need to see him". I begged him with my eyes. His face turned to unsertainty and worry while he opened his mouth to reject.

"I needed to know the truth" I say quickly before he could say anything.

"Are you sure" he looks at me with so much concern.

I nod my head at him and he sighs but lifts me to my feet.

"Ok but Avery he was with rogues when we captured him. They are being charged of trespassing and vandalism. My father is trying to learn more details about them and exactly who they are and what they have been up to. Right now Ryan is considered a rouge until we can find out if he is or not, he has to stay in the pack holding cells. I'm sorry" Jason looks into my eyes seriously.

I just nod my head again. He looks down with uneasiness and worry evident in his eyes. He looks at me for a few more seconds look for any hint that I'm going to break down again. I just stare at him with desperation and he sighs but then takes my hand and leads me down stairs and to the garage.

We hop into his car and I wait in silence.

I am minutes away from possibly seeing my brother. What if it's him? What if it isn't? If he had been a rogue will he still be my brother? Does he still love me? It hasn't even been a year but if he was alive and didn't even try to contact me what does that say? If he didn't die February what did Daren and I feel in the car? If he's alive is it possible other members of my pack are still alive?

"We're here Avery. You sure you want to go in? This might not be your brother you know from a year ago. It's not to late to turn back." Jason tries to persuade me one last time. I needed to know the truth though.

"I have to know" I meet his worried eyes with my desperate ones.

"Ok" he nods "but you have to stay by my side the whole time we're in there. And I'm serious Avery. Those other wolves are cruel and almost killed pack members just to hurt us. If they got our luna they would be able to kill this pack" Jason eyes that held worry now also held seriousness.

"Ok" I touch his cheek and lightly kiss his moist lips.

Jason smiled at me and then got out of the car. I quickly followed suit and took his out stretched hand.

"Mack we're here to see one of the rogues they brought in a few hours ago. Please let us through and warn the other gards. I want extra men near there cells. We need to talk to one of them but I want back up close if it is needed" Jason turn serious and commands on of the two guards.

"Yes sure" he bows his head in respect to Jason and I and unlocked the door for us.

There was a hand scanner and a keypad that looked like it also scanned you fingers while you typed in the numbers.

The door unlocked with a big clunk and Mack opened the thick black door.

"Remeber, don't leave my side" Jason whispered in my ear as we walked down the cold cement stairs.

There were four men at the bottom waiting for us and two walked with us down the corridor.

At the end was another door that need another code and a hand scanner. One of the gaurds quickly unlocked the door and open it for us.

Jason was on high alert the whole way down but now that the door opened he pulled me closer to him and I could feel how stiff he was, on guard.

We walked down a number of cells until we came across one which held a prisoner.

It's was the first I had ever seen. He was big and had a horrid scare down his neck that lead under his ragged and dirty shirt. He looked up as we passed and I could see one eye was glossed over and had a scare cross his eye lids. The other eye held pure hatred though mad I pressed my self even closure to Jason.

We walked down three more steps till I saw him. I could only see a shagged deep brown head turned away through the bars of another inmate. My instincts though already told me it was him.

We walked up to the front of his head and when we stopped he turned his head and looked at us. First with pure hatred at Jason, who growled in response. His eye then darted around at the rest of the men but stop when he looked at me.

I studied him as he did me. His hair was longer but still the deep brown. It was more rigid though like he hasn't washed it in a while. He wore a black t shirt but the sleeves were torn off and the whole shirt had brown dirt stains and holes. His muscles were bigger and his whole build was more intimidating.

His face was bruised and he had a scare running down the side of his neck. His eyes though. They were a darker brown. As if they hardened over what he had done. They held pure shock in them and he gasped silently "Avery".
