'Father we need to have a meeting right away. Have Jack and Ralen be at the house in 5. I'll tell Damon and Jace.' I quickly told my father through the mind link and then called for Damon and Jace who were on there way.
My grip on the steering wheel tightened as I pressed harder on the gas peddle. I needed to get home and tell my father about the developing rogue pack.
"Jason" I hear Avery whisper. I glance over to her and see her staring at my knuckles turning white from the death grip.
"Calm down" she reached for my hand and held it. My body instantly relaxed at her touch and I breathed out a breath I didn't relies I was holding.
"I'm sorry" I sigh to her and start to rub circles on her hand.
"It's ok" she smiles at me sweetly and I smile back.
"Jace and Damon will be at the pack house in a minute. My dad already is there with Jack and Ralen. We need to tell them about the possible rogue pack." I tell her as I drove onto my street.
She just nodded in acknowledgement.
We drove up to the pack house and I park in the garage next to Damon's sleek black charger.
I opened the door for Avery and we walked into the house, hand in hand.
Everyone is already in my dad's office and my mom instantly smile when she sees Avery and my hands intertwined.
"Hey Avery, hey Jason" Damon smiles at her and walks over to the coffee table to sit.
"So what's with the emergency meeting?" Jace fallows Damon's lead and sits on the couch.
"Avery and I were at the pack house talking to her brother. He told us why he was with the rogues." I look to my father and see him nod to continue.
"He says there's a rogue pack" I finish and Jace immediately jumps up and protests.
"What?! That's not possible! Rogues can't form a pack! They're rogues because they don't want to be in a pack! Why would they make one themselves?"
Damon didn't say anything but looked confused and deep in thought.
"What else did he say?" My father asked and looked confused as the rest of them.
"He said that the day he died he met the moongodess and she told him a prophecy and sent him back here. When he came back the stone pack was already dead and he had to retreat. He's been collect data on the rogues that killed his pack and he found a rogue pack. That's what he was doing with those rogues, at least that's what he claims." I finished and pulled Avery to the chairs in front of my dad desk. I pulled Avery down and breathed in her sent. It helped to settle my wolf. He had been really shaken on hearing the pack of rogues.
"He's not lying." Avery whispered to us and looked in my eyes. She begged me with her eyes to believe her.
"It's very doubtful that rogues would form a pack. I'm sorry Avery but a rogue will say anything to get out of a cell" Ralen looked apologetic at Avery who looked down in response.
"He wouldn't lie about this. And he would never turn into a rogue." She looked back up at him and looked desperate for him to believe her.
"Avery do you trust him" my father looked at her and she nodded.
"Ok. I trust that you will do what ever is best for this pack since it will be yours and Jason's soon. So since you trust him, I will give him a chance and hear for myself what has happened" my father smiles at her and she sighs a breath of release.
"Jack. Go release him and bring him here to talk" My father told his beta who nodded and quickly walked out of the room.
"If this is true then we will need to call all the pack alphas of this region and warn them of this. We need to make a plan and find this pack." My father looked back at me and I nodded in approval.
I felt torn inside though. I wanted Avery's brother to be telling the truth for her sake but I also didn't want a pack of rogues out there. My wolf was losing it at the thought of that. If it was true, the pack was a big risk to us and anyone one in their way. We needed to find them. The only thing keeping me from losing control was Avery who was snuggled into my chest, staring into space. She was scared. Her thoughts told me so. A pack of rogues disturbed her as much as it did me.
"We will need to do a sweeps all thought out the territory and the land surround us. We need to make sure the rogue pack is not right next to us. We will also need to question the rogues that your brother was after" my father broke the silence that was settling into the room.
'Jason, take Avery to your room or out of the house. I don't want her to be here if her brother turns out to be lie. If he's a rogue he might try to attack her' my father mind linked me and I nodded to him.
"Come one baby lets go to my room and watch a movie" I stand up and lift her bridle style in my arms. She wouldn't want to be far from her brother but she will be completely safe in my room locked and with me.
"We have to go, Don't we?" she looked up at me with sad eyes.
I nodded my head and walked out of my fathers office. I quickly scaled the stairs and laid her down on my bed. I walked over and locked the door and grabbed the remote. I clicked on the tv and laid down next to Avery who buried herself into my chest and waited for my father to call us back down.
