Playing BS with only 3 players since Jason wouldn't let me play on my own was hard. A lot of the times we could call each others bluffs since we might have all the 8s or Kings. It was fun though. Tommy and Claire are really nice and good kids. Tommy is like any boy, really competitive but Claire was also competitive and was a good match for Tommy. You would think they were brother and sister the way Tommy and Claire act around each other but I guess that's how you get when you live with each other for 3 weeks.

In the end Claire won with me and Jason finishing 2nd. Tommy kept saying we cheated some how and Claire rubbed it in. They were so cute. When the game was over I looked over at the clock and it read 330. I was suppose to come strait home after school and school ended at 2.

"Shoot I got to go. See ya guys" I ran out of the door and down the stairs.

"Wait Avery. What's the rush?" Jason fallowed me.

"I was supposed to go strait home after school. That was 1 hour and a half a go!" I dash to the front door. Shit how was I going to get home. I didn't know how to get home from his house or where we were.

"You don't have to go now. Call them and tell them you came here after school to study and your going to have dinner here. Well if you want" Jason said a little unsure at the end. Did he just ask me to stay and have dinner with him?

"I have a lot of homework." I said unsure. Did I really want to stay and have dinner with him. I barely knew Jason. Yes we did just spend the day together and he is my mate but what if this doesn't work out. My heart can't take another brake. Not after losing my whole family.

"You can do it here. We are in the same classes. We can help each other" Jason pleaded. I could see in his eyes he truly wanted me to stay.

"I'm sorry Jason. I can't" I looked down, ashamed. I couldn't do this. I could feel it. We were falling for each other and I didn't want a mate. I didn't want to feel connected to someone and just have them ripped away from me. I hadn't had a friend since my old life, let a lone a boyfriend. I then dart for the door and ripped it open.

"Wait Avery!" He yelled out after me. He started to fallow but once I was out side I shifted into my pure white wolf and ran. I could tell that Jason was fallowing me. My wolf could sense him behind me and begged me to stop but I couldn't. I pushed her down and ran faster almost at top speed. I could smell a waterfall close by and a plan formed in my head. I ran as fast I could the last 100 yards.

The woods then broke out into a huge meadow. On the far side there was a waterfall emptying out to a small lake. I darted over and could feel Jason on my heels. I ran strait for the bank and at the last second jumped to right, landing in the water a little bit but them jumped to the right again and land on the bank. Jason didn't expect me to jump to the right though and went to jump for my scruff before I jumped to the right. That landed him deep in the bank and totally wet. I then ran back into the woods.

After a minute though I heard him howl. His howl was so sad I had to stop. My wolf then forced me to stop and howl back and comfort our mate. Seconds after I howled I was being pinned down by a huge wolf. I felt the tingles up my back and only saw black fur and knew it was Jason. He then laid back on my back so his head was on top of mine. He rubbed his jaw on my forehead affectionally and whined. I couldn't resist then and nuzzled my head up his jaw and rubbed my back into his chest. I felt him shift on top of me and shifted back to.

"Avery" he groaned and then got up. "Stay here please" he begged and ran off back towards the lake.

He was back in 5 seconds, scared I would run off but I had no clothes and won't run in the woods naked. Plus I knew his wolf would just catch me if I ran off. He had shorts and a shirt on when he came back and threw me another pair of shorts and a shirt. I quickly slipped on his shirt over my head an stayed low to the ground while I pulled on his extra shorts. After buttoning them up I looked up and took Jason's extended hand.

"Avery why did you run away" he asked while pulling me up. I could hear the rawness in his voice.

"I saw it in your eyes" I said looking up at him. "I see it know"

"What" he asked confused and sad.

"The way you feel about me. I can feel us falling for each other" I said dropping my head back down.

"What's the matter" he asked desperately. He put his finger under my chin and made me look into his eyes.

"I'm scared" I whispered turning my head and look at the tree line.

"Of what" he whispered back.

"What if this doesn't work out. I cant take losing some one I care about again" I turned and looked at him scared.

"Avery were mates. We're made for each other" he said looking deep in my eyes. "I will never leave you" his eyes begged me to believe him.

"How do you know that?" I asked tears coming to my face. I hugged him and burred my face in his chest.

"Because I can feel it, in my heart." He whispered and lift me up, cradling me to his chest. He walked back and sat against a tree.

I couldn't say anything after that and just burred myself deeper in him. We sat like that for what seemed like forever but when I felt the woods get colder and the light around us turn orange I knew I had to go.

"Jason I have to go home. My grandma will be mad at me" I said quietly, looking up. I didn't want to disturb the peaceful silence that had surround us.

"Ok I'll drive you" he said standing up. He then set me down on my feet and took my hand and start lead us to his house.

After about 45 minutes of walking we emerged from the tree line and went straight for the garage. The walk was long and I almost wanted to shift to our wolves so we would get here faster but I couldn't bring myself to interrupt the peaceful silence. We hopped in his car and he asked where I lived.

"68 Oak Heart Street" I tell him strapping on the seat belt.

"O good. My friend lives on your street only 2 house down." Jason smiles.

"What's his name?"

"Andrew. We've been friends since we were pups. Andrew was my first friend since our parents were really close. Also andrews father is my dads beta. Andrew actually might have been beta or third." Jason said smiling.

"How come you didn't choose him? Since his father is beta Andrew obviously has the right background and blood. Plus he's your oldest friend" I said confused.

"Yea but when we were younger I always could see a dark side to him and I didn't like it. He would sometime pick on or make fun of weaker or injured members of the pack. Also in fights or arguments he didn't have my back sometimes. I just didn't feel like I could totally trust him. Where Damon and Jace, I know always and completely has my back in fights or arguments. They also have great natures. Yea we rag on each other but there both really kind and fun." Jason explained.

"How did you pick who got beta and who was third?" I add hoping to keep him talking.

"Jace is a good guy and everything but loves to joke around and sometimes has trouble raining it in. Damon like to joke around too but can be serious when he has to plus he's smarter in pack politics and battle plans." Jason then pulled on my street and after 8 houses I told him to stop and pull into the drive way.

"Thanks for the ride Jason" I smiled and went to get out but Jason put his hand on my should making me stop,

"Wait Avery. I can't let you go. Your my mate and I need you at my side. I now we have only met today but I can already feel the mating bond and pull" Jason looked desperately in my eyes. It was true. I could feel it too. Plus for an alpha mating pair we were going very slow. Most alphas claim theirs mates in the first half of the day.

"I know" I looked down.

"At least tell me you will give us a try" Jason pleaded.

I looked up to him and couldn't bring myself to say no. But I couldn't say yes either. So I just nodded my head.

Jason then gave a great smile and asked " Then go out with me, friday night. We can do what ever you want"

I didn't know what to say. I said I would give us a try though so I have to say yes. " I like movies" I smiled.

"Okey" he smiled and took his hand off my shoulder. Releasing me and letting me get out of the car. I then ran inside my house grinning like a foul. I had a date with Jason!
