Distraction

I felt numb as I laid in Jason's bed. I couldn't find it in me to get up. It's to much. I found my mate and he's an alpha. I saw Mat and he and Jason almost killed each other. Ryan is still alive. Everything was happening to fast. I felt like I was spiral out of control.

I heard the door open and looked up to see Jason smiling at me gently. "Avery"

"Hey" I quietly said curling back into a ball. The bed dipped as I felt him climb in next to me.

"Avery come on. I got a surprise for you" he said as he engulfed me in his arms and pulled me on top of him.

I look up in his eyes and couldn't help smile a little at him. I could see the concern and care in his eyes. "ok" I whispered more for his sake then mine. Jason didn't deserve a depressed mate who didn't do anything for him.

His smile grew when I said yes and he climbed up with me still in his arms. I chuckled at his enthusiasm and snuggled deep into his chest.

He quickly climbed down stairs an walked towards the back if the house.We walked into the kitchen walked towards the pantry door.

"What are we doing?" I asked Jason and looked up at him.

He smiled at me "it's not a pantry"

I frowned in confusion at h and watched as he opened the door to stairs. "you have cellar?" I asked him.

"Yepp" he started to walk down. It was a humongous room that had pillows and blankets scatter across half the room with a big picnic spread across next to it.

The picnic was full of Mac & Cheese, Sandwiches of all sorts, stake, mashed potatoes, orange juice, apple juice, grape juice, water, sports drinks, and a big red cooler. On top of the cooler was a stack of movies and a remote.

"Wow" I whispered as everything but Jason slip from my mind. I took all of it in and snapped my head back to Jason who was watching me with a shy smile on his face.

"You like it?" he asked with uncertainty in his voice.

"You did all this?" I ask in disbelief.

"Yeaa, maybe a little help from Skye and Damon" smiled shyly at me and walked us over to all the blankets.

"Mmm soft" I said as I rubbed the blanket he sat me down on.

Jason chuckled at me and reached over to all the food. "what would you like? We made practically everything we have in the kitchen"

I looked over at all the food again and chose mac & cheese, stake and mashed potatoes with grape juice.

"Thanks" I smiled at him and took the plate he handed me. I watched as he grabbed a stake, BLT sandwich, mashed potatoes with Gatorade.

"What movie would you like" he asked as he grabbed the stack of movies and handed them to me.

There was Titanic, The notebook, The Perks of being a Wallflower, Dirty Dancing, Hairspray, Grease, twilight, Mamma Mia, Life As We Know it, The Bounty Hunter, One For The Money, This Means War and The Ugly Truth. I laughed as I realized that all of the movies we chick flicks. I smiled up at him and leaned over and kissed him. I was so lucky to have him as a mate. He was so caring and nice. I didn't deserve such a great mate. While I was crying my eyes out, depressed and ignoring him he was planning an amazing surprise to cheer me up. I was a weak wolf and need to a stronger for him.

He quickly kissed me back and his arms slipped around my waste pulling me into his chest. He nipped my lips, asking for entrance which I gladly gave. I loved his eagerness to be with me but pulled away from him and leaned my head against his.
