When we finally got the pack prison I so nervous again. So many questions were swimming in my head. Where has he been all this time? Why was he with rogues? Is he a rogue? Is he still the Ryan I love? how did he get that scar on his neck? Most importantly what happened that night?
"Avery" Jason pulled me out of my head. "The investigation on your brother is still underway and we don't know everything yet. All we know is that he was fighting with the other rogues when we captured them and it doesn't seem he was with them. He still is a rogue though and he is still considered a threat. You need to stay by my side again. ok? I know he is your brother and you don't see him as a threat but I do and I need to know you are safe. My wolf won't let you be in danger and just being this close to the pack prison has him on alert. Please don't leave my side" He begged me with his eyes. I could see how worried he was and how alert his wolf was.
"Ok" I softly smiled at him and kissed him lightly.
"Thank you" he breathed and got out of the car.
We walked to the entrance where there was two guards again. We went through the same procedure as last time with all the extra guards. When we got to my brother's cell he was laying down but jumped up when he saw us.
"Avery! You came back!" He smiled at me and walked up to the bars.
"Of course I came back" I smiled at him, relieved to see him again. I quick walked up to the bars am hugged him.
Jason quickly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back which had Ryan glare at him.
"I didn't think you would. I thought you would be mad at me for trying to attack your mate and leaving you alone for all this time" Ryan looked down as he whispered the end.
"Ryan I thought you were dead! I went to your funeral! Can you imagine that? No sibling should have to go there that but when I found out you were alive. I couldn't believe it. I thought I was alone but your back! I love you Ryan" I smiled at him through the bars and took his hand.
"I love you too baby sis" he smiled back and breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Ryan what happened that night? How are you here, alive? Why are you with rogues" I asked him confused and desperate for answers.
"It all started the night you left to go to the lake house.Me and dad were running there in wolf form. We going to surprise you there. Then those rogues attacked us. There were a dozen rogues and they all immediately attack me. They didn't even look at dad. I fought as hard as I could but Avery those rogues were different. They were stronger then any rogue I had ever encountered. It was like they were on steroids or something. It was unnatural. The leader ripped my throat out and everything went black. When I came through I was dead. The moon goddess was there and she told me about this prophecy and what I had to do. She disappeared though and white mist came and surrounded me. I couldn't see where I was. Then this blinding light came and I had to close my eyes. It only lasted a second and then everything vanished. I opened my eyes and I was where me and dad were attacked. I ran back to the pack but when I got there I was to late. Rogues had killed everybody and were starting to burn down everything. I tried to go after them but the fires pushed me back. I had to flee and when was able to go back everything was scorched. There was nothing left. The whole forest was black and dust. I didn't think anyone survived. So I set out to find what bastard attacked us. What I've learned is there's a rogue pack forming and their only objective is to wipe out all other packs. I've been gathering intel on them ever since. That's what I was doing at the hotel with them. Then you mate's pack members came storming in knocked us all out" Ryan growled at end to Jason.
"O my god" was all I could whisper to him. He had gone through so much. He met the moon goddess. Found out about our packs killer. I was shocked.
"You were with rogues that have been attacking out pack" Jason growled back which only seemed to anger Ryan more. Jason started to pull me away from him and behind his back. I couldn't pay attention to them fighting though. All I could think was my brother was still my brother. He was Ryan! He's not a rogue. I couldn't help but smile at that fact. I haven't lost my brother.
"Ryan" I whispered to him, ignoring the growls they were emanating at each other.
His eyes flickered to me but he continued to growl at Jason.
"Your still You" I smiled at him and tried to walk towards him, only to have Jason hold me still at his side.
"Of course I am! What? You think I would turn into a rogue? Just because I am being treated one here doesn't mean that I am!" Ryan finally stopped growling but still glared at Jason.
"Avery we need to go talk to my father. He needs to informed of the rogue pack" Jason started to pull me away.
"Wait Jason" I pulled back "What about Ryan? I can't leave him down here. He's not the enemy. Let him go" I pleaded with him.
"I have to speak with my father first. Then we can discuss his release" Jason looked down at me and I could see how stressed he was. His whole body was rigid and I could feel his wolf on high alert.
"Ok" I whispered and turned to my brother "Goodbye Ryan. I will be back" I promised him and Jason pulled me away. Ryan nodded at me and yelled "I love you" before the doors closed behind me.

I watched as Avery disappeared behind the heavy metal door. I found her! Finally! I had been looking for her forever! I knew she was alive, the moon goddess told me so.
I hated my self for taking so long to find her though. I should have found her before she met her mate. It would have made it so much easier to really explain what had happened and what would happen next.
She needed to know why our pack was the first to be wiped out and what she is to the wolf world. She needs to know what she, herself is and the powers she possesses. More importantly though she needs to be trained in fight in her wolf and human form, then how to use and control her powers. All of this has to be in secret though.
The pack already has traitors here. My wolf has sensed them and I've already seen some of the guards a little to interested in learning every little thing about this place.
If the pack prison has this many traitors, how many does the rest of the pack have? This is my duty in the prophecy, to protect Avery and find the spies and traitors near her.
