Will waited desperately for his family to come back. He was more scared and it didn't help that his ptsd had been causing him to have much freak outs lately.
He remained in the store with his headphones in and his pencil in hand, drawing out a sketch of castle Byers.
He heard an unfamiliar voice around him. It was muffled, and he couldn't make out what the voice was exactly saying.
He closes his eyes and focuses on his music and Mike. He knew it was wrong, but he couldn't help but think about him.
Will finally opens his eyes to finish his drawing, but he was no longer in the store.
He heard a clock tick four times, but the more he looked around the more anxious he became.
He was now in the spot where he fell off his bike all those years ago. When he spotted a figure in the middle of the street and rode off down the small hill, falling off his bike. It was weird to Will that, that's how all this started.
Panic settled in his chest as he looked around more anxiously. He knew what was now going on, since Max had described what it was like.
"Will." The voice of Vecna called for him. Wills heartbeat increased and he was frozen. He couldn't reply or move as much as he wanted to.
It wasn't until Vecna appeared in front of him he could finally move, out of fear.
"Why not join me?" Vecna offers while using his powers of telekinesis to lift Wills old bike up and placed it next to the shaken boy.
"Join you?" Will asks quietly and confused. He was final able to find his voice which Vecna found amusing.
"You're different. Special, Will. Why do you think you went there all those years ago? Why do you think you survived?" Vecna asks, taking another step closer. Wills breathing started to quicken.
"Luck. I did almost die." He says quickly.
"But you didn't." Vecna repeats.
"That doesn't mean I want to join you." Will says, watching his tone carefully. He knew the man in front of him could kill him with a snap of his fingers.
"You'll live. Why struggle with the life you have now, when you can join me and have the power you've always wanted." Vecna almost taunts him.
"I'm not betraying my family, my friends." Will says quickly. "I don't want power."
"You want to be happy." Vecna reads his mind. Will felt himself going into a panic attack and tried to block it out as much as he could.
"Everyone want's to be happy." Will says. "And I wonder why I'm not." He adds sarcastically. Vecna smirks, almost laughs.
Vines wrapped around Wills legs, holding him in place. He struggled to get free as more vines wrapped around his arms. Not hurting him, just holding him strictly in place. Vecna watched in amusement as Will tried to fight his way out of the vines.
"It could have been so simple." Vecna says while stepping closer.
"I'm not afraid to die." Will replies in a cold voice.
"I know." Vecna smirks. "That's why I'm not going too kill you. I'm going to make you watch as I kill everyone you care about."
Will stares at him, horrified by the thought of his family dying in front of him and him not being able to do anything about it.
"No!" Will yells. "Don't hurt them." He continues to try and break out of the vines.
"I gave you a way out and you refused." Vecna reminds him.
"They'll die either way!" Will wanted to cry but stopped himself.
"Well I'm not going to spare them." Vecna says in almost a 'duh' kind of voice.
"They aren't even anywhere near here." Will laughs.
"But they will be." Vecna looks directly at him and takes another step forward.
"Kill me instead, please. I'll do anything." Will pleads with him.
"My targets were you and Eleven. I can kill you either way and but I'm not going to kill you and not kill her." Vecna tells him. Will breaks out of the vines that were on his right arm. He looked almost as surprised as Vecna did.
He pulled on the vines that were on his left arm, his left arm being freed.
"What's going on?" Vecna asks, trying to use his powers but failing.
As Vecna was distracted Will broke out of the vines that held his legs. He let out a quick breath and looked at Vecna, who was now looking down at his wrist with confusion.
Will makes a run for it, darting past the murder and running towards the middle school, since it was the closest place of comfort Will knew.
It didn't take long before pieces of buildings were falling, almost crushing Will as he continued to run. Vines attempted to wrap around his legs and body but he was running to fast for the vines to stay in place.
He didn't know what else to do once he reached the school.
He needed his family, his friends to hurry up and get back. Maybe they could save him, if he couldn't save himself.
But like he said, he wasn't afraid of death. He never has been. So if him dying meant that his family and friends could be safe then he wanted to die.
There was a low chuckle from somewhere and before Will knew it he was floating in the air with Vecna in front of him.
Vines wrapped around Will as he was held up on the schools cold brick wall.
The vines held his legs and arms down, more wrapped around his stomach and waist and his neck.
"I'll start with Mike first." Vecna threatens him. Wills heart starts beating faster.
"Eleven won't let anything happen to him." He snaps.
"I would have to disagree with you. But we'll see." Vecna says before dropping Will onto the ground, causing Will to gasp as he sits up on his mattress in the store.
