Today is Halloween and I'm spending it here in San Francisco with my family because my parents are hosting a Halloween party for charity and myself along with Brooke, Paige, Chloe and Nia are guests of honor there.
The girls and I are sitting in my room getting ready for the party putting on our makeup doing girly things as my siblings walk in looking like they had a bloodbath in ketchup.
Canon walks in looking like a miniature Dracula with blood all over his face.
"Hi, Auntie Nia." Canon says to Nia standing behind her.
Brooke, Paige, Chloe and I smile at my little brother as stands behind us.
" Hi sweetie". Nia says hugging him
" Where are you guys going"? he asks
" Well me and my besties are guests of honor at Mommy and Daddy's party, then afterward we're going to a party with our friends Maddie and Kenzie later on." I tell Canon as I'm putting on mascara.
Once we have our makeup on I pull out my phone to start taking selfies dressed as Dionne Davenport from the 90s chick flick Clueless. I spray perfume around the room and walk through the air to make sure I smell good going to the party.
"OMG , girl you look so goregous." Brooke said
" no that's all you love." I tell her.
"You girls ready to rock?" I tell the girls as we walk out my room.
"Damn, where yall girls going looking so pretty". Dad said looking at us from the edge of the stairs in the living room.
" We're going to the party, we're the guests of honor there tonight." I said laughing at my dad
" Oh okay, see y'all there". Dad says waving us off as we walk out the door
"let's take pictures the lighting is so good". I said as we walked into the street
We all gathered in the street and took selfies.
"ooh we look so good. " I said to everyone and they all nodded in agreement
20 minutes later we arrived at the venue where the party was being held at and when I tell you it was cranking, it was on fire (not literally) . Mom and Dad were there setting up the party for the guests to arrive soon. The tables were decorated orange and black to replicate a jack-o-lantern. Just then I seen something I thought I'd never see before.
My ex-boyfriend.
"Bryce, what the hell are you doing here". I said angrily
" hey beautiful, you're parents invited me because you know I'm the favorite ex". He said with his hand on my shoulder. I then glare at my parents
"Dad, why did you invite my ex to the party". I said with the blankest expression on my face.
" I was just hoping that you guys could rekindle a friendship". Dad said
" But you know we had a bad breakup and the reasoning behind it as well." I added on
"But since he's here I'll talk to him". I said
Bryce and I walk outside to talk. As he stands there with his hands in his pockets he starts to put his hands around my hip.
" So, why are you here?" I asked him as he stepped backward
"I just wanted to tell you that, I've missed you and I never stopped thinking about you." Bryce said. I look at him and bite my lower lip.
"Okay Bryce, I never stopped thinking about you either". I said. "But don't get too exicted we'll have to start from the beginning again."
" Noted". he says coming closer to me trying to kiss me.
I palm his face away from me. " Slow down Speedy Gonzalez, I said we're associates for right now." I tell him.
" Oh right sorry, well have fun at the party". He says walking away from the venue toward his car.
The butterflies are starting to kick in again...
