Two months later: August 31st 2022
UCLA talent agent's office.
It's been officially 2 months since the talent show and now I'm sitting in a huge office with my parents and the talent agent.
"Ahhh, the Curry family." The talent agent said holding out her hand to me.
" I'm Gina Massarello, talent agent for the UCLA Bruins". she said
"I'm Carrington and these are my parents Steph and Ayesha Curry". I said to her
"Well Mr and Mrs. Curry your daughter here is one talented soul." Gina said
"and when I seen her at the talent show, she had everyone on their feet." she added
As I was sitting there dressed like Elle Woods from Legally Blonde , I sat there smiling as we went over all my accomplishments.
"So, to the parents of Carrington." Gina said
"Do you sign this contract to be part of the UCLA Talent Company."
'"Do we go along with this or not." Mom whispered to Dad
" uhh i don't know, bae, lets ask Carrington". Dad added
Here I am thinkng about this, making notes as I go because this decision could mean I go platinum before I turn 18.
"I could be the next Miley Cyrus." I thought to myself
" Carrington, dear did you make your decision"? Mom asked me
" I think I've made my choice". I said
" I think I'm not gonna sign it, just yet". I said to Gina pushing the paper back to her
"Oh okay, sweetie I know. But remember we have until March 2023 to sign it." Gina said
"Okay thanks, Gina." I said
Gina shakes all of our hands as she shows us the door.
"It was nice to meet you all, drive home safe." Gina says.
As I stand outside the office I look up to the sky and I mumble to myself.
"I'll be back, sooner or later."
