At first, Chrissy was culture shocked at her new school has a lot of students and most of them aren't Chinese. Growing up Chrissy always imagined herself to marry a Chinese guy because she grew up in a school that had Chinese culture. Chrissy always saw herself marrying Carlos even he hasn't indicated his interest but she knew he liked her deep down. He just has a funny way of showing it.
"Chrissy, I'm going to the bathroom. Are you coming with me?" Vanessa asked Chrissy while their last class was over.
"Yeah, I'm coming. Wait a second. I'll just fix my things and see you there." Chrissy replied while shoving photocopies to her bag. She noticed that it was already 3:45 pm. She needed to wait EJ's class to be over and go home.
It was already August and she's slowly adapting to college life. She went to the bathroom and applied face powder and lip tint.
"Just tell me when you're done, Chrissy."
"Can't you stop talking to me? I'm focusing here."
"Ok. Just chill."
"I'm done, Van."
After their bathroom fiasco, Vanessa went home early instead of watching Korean drama together. The two of them have been close since they were young. They are childhood friends because both of their mothers are best friends. Both of them are welcome in each other's home. Vanessa is also Chinese. She can relate to her due to their strict parent's upbringing and their traditional Chinese culture. Vanessa has a boyfriend that she has been keeping a secret from her family and Chrissy just doesn't talk about Vanessa's boyfriend when talking to Vanessa's parents.
"I'm going home now because I'm meeting Rex later. We're watching a movie at the mall." Vanessa informed me of her date later with her boyfriend.
"Ok. Don't have too much fun. Don't do anything I wouldn't do."
Chrissy is riding a jeep on her way to the tutorial center. She's being tutored on Accounting since she has a failing grade on her prelims and her mom told her she can go to the tutorial center where EJ is also being tutored on all of his subjects. A driver will fetch them later.
She doesn't enjoy being there since all of the students are mostly high school students. She finally made it to the tutorial center and she saw a high school guy sitting on the couch. She was immediately drawn to the guy like it was love at first sight.
"Chrissy, just wait for a few minutes and we'll start our session in a while." Sir Ryan explained to her that it might take a while for her tutorial session to start.
"Ok, sir."
Chrissy felt that she needed to get the guy's number and she was really nervous with sweat dripping on her forehead. The guy was just sitting with his legs open wide with not a care in the word. Plucking up the courage she sat beside the student.
"Can I get your cellphone number?" she asked him.
"It's 09xx-xxxxxx-x."
"What's your name?"
"It's Alessandro Vasquez."
"I'll send you a text later. Thank you."
"Chrissy, it's time for your session" Sir Ryan called her from the hallway.
"I'm coming, sir. Wait a minute." She replied.
"It was nice meeting you, Alessandro."
"Likewise." Alessandro politely acknowledge their conversation and he was looking at her eyes now which made her slightly uncomfortable.
Chrissy knew meeting this guy would definitely change her life.
