First Break Up

Chrissy is thinking about how to  break up with Sandro without hurting his feelings. She couldn't imagine doing something harsh to him. She thinks she can't find someone like him. He was different and he respected her as a person.

Sandro, let's break up. Let's get back together when I graduate from college. I think by that time I could fight for our love. I don't think I could ever love someone as much as I love you.

Chrissy waited for his reply but he didn't reply at all. She was wondering if he received the text message.

One week passed by and it was summer. After a few days it would be holy week. Chrissy and her family travel during holy week. They will travel to Hong Kong with Lance's family. She used to hate holy week since she couldn't see Sandro for days and miss his voice. She could send messages on friendster but that was it.

Now she dreaded holy week. She dreaded missing his presence, voice, face and everything about him. She missed the moments when her phone would vibrate and the ring tone that would ring everytime he texts or calls.

Chrissy has now experienced heartache and she was crying herself to sleep for two nights in a row. She feels lonely and in so much pain. She didn't heartache could hurt this much.

Her phone vibrated and she was happy for a moment. Her heart sank when she saw it was from Lance.

How are you?

I'm fine. Do you have a crush on me or something?

Yes, I have a crush on you.

I think we need to stop texting each other.

Chrissy could still remember her mom tell her to be nice to Lance and reply to his texts. It was hard since she wasn't interested in him. She was annoyed with his persistent behavior and couldn't tell she wasn't interested in him.

Why? We're about to meet tomorrow in Manila and you're staying at our house. I like you and I'm interested to get to know you better. Our families are close to each other.

Ok, fine. Thank you for accommodating our stay in Manila for one night. I'm going to sleep now. Good night. See you tomorrow.

Sandro wasn't aware that Chrissy was travelling with Lance's family. If he knew then it would be chaotic and she knows that Sandro would book a flight to Manila if needed to.
