AS I SLIPPED INTO SLEEP, the environment around me changed. For one, I was no longer thousands of feet above the ground. Nor was I leaning back on Jason's chest. This could only mean one thing, a dream.

I looked around, but nothing, no one.

"Hello" I shouted, my trident gripped tightly.

"My daughter"

I turned around, immediately adapting to a defensive position. But, there was no need for it, as it was just my father - Poseidon. That made sense, I was near a beach, and I could smell the ocean breeze"

"Dad! What the hell? I've been trying to contact you for so long, but nothing." I said, annoyed "and where is Percy? Is he where I think he is? When will he come back? Will he even come back? DAD!" I shot, in one breath.

My father just smiled, before putting both his hands on my shoulder. "Anna, my daughter - how do the youngsters nowadays call it - take a chill tablet. I am not here to talk about Percy, I'm here to talk about you, and your destiny."

I rolled my eyes "First of all, it's take a chill pill. Second, what about me and my destiny?"

My dad frowned, "Anna, did you not hear what Medea told you?"

"You mean 'the reason I was born'?" I said, making air-quotes

"Precisely," Poseidon said, not sensing the sarcasm

I frowned "That's just a load of bullshit. I was born because you and mom had sex and didn't use a condom"

My dad's face reddened, "We did use a condom, and no, that's not it"

"Then what is it?"

"I am afraid you must figure that out yourself-"

"Oh c'mon" I interrupted, whining

My father looked at me, now glaring "Do not interrupt me, child. As I was saying, I cannot tell you. But, I can train you"

I snorted "Train me? Yeah, like Zeus is going to allow it"

"He mustn't know. This is a secret, you cannot reveal this to anyone"

"What! Also, why? I am the best fighter at camp, I am already trained"

My father didn't reply, instead, he attacked.
