"We keep this love in a photograph, we made these memories for ourselves"

THE HUNTERS OF ARTEMIS WERE absolute pros at camping, and the realization crept on us that while we were barely managing to steal three hours of sleep, they lounged in their deluxe tent, sipping hot chocolate and chattering away like it was a scene out of a vintage film. I knew Artemis wouldn't approve of the comparison, but the reality stung nonetheless.

As the tent loomed into view, so did Leo and Jason. Leo seemed just as offended as I was about the princess treatment Piper and Hedge were getting.

"Oh, no way," Leo exclaimed. "We've been freezing our tails off in that cave while you guys get the royal treatment? Someone give me hypothermia. I'd trade it for a cup of hot chocolate and a parka any day!"

I flicked his ear and adopted a posh British accent. "Leo, darling, mind your manners when addressing the esteemed hunters."

He turned to me, bowing low with a theatrical flourish. "Forgive me, milady, for my grave sins"

I rolled my eyes dramatically and let out a theatrical sigh. "Oh, Leo, your sins are indeed weighty, but fear not, for I shall grant you a pardon."

Emma couldn't contain her laughter, doubling over with amusement. "Please, do continue!"

I flung my arms dramatically "Ah, American ladies have no decorum at all, Lord Valdez!"

"Yes, indeed, my dear Lady Danvers," Leo replied with mock seriousness. "Seems the New World's still catching up on the finer points of etiquette."

Jason chimed in, grinning despite his attempt at seriousness. "Alright, enough goofing around. We've got things to do."

"My dear Lord Grace," I teased, twirling a strand of hair flirtatiously, "how does such a brilliant mind as yours entertain such... forgive my dialect... dim-witted notions?"

Jason couldn't hold back his laughter any longer, joined by Luna, who seemed to appear out of thin air. "Demigods," she muttered, shaking her head.

"Alright, enough with the theatrics. Let's get moving," Thalia said, her eyes sparkling with amusement

"She's right," I agreed before winking at Phoebe. It was always fun to mess with the hunters
