Detention is about to end, and Damian puts his book away. He sits and waits for the clock to turn. He had decided that he hates Detention. It's a major waste of time. He could be training, or doing at least something productive, but all he could do in detention is read, draw, and think. The clock turns and the teacher's timer goes off. "Alright you little runts, come get your phones, and get the heck out of here." The teacher demands tiredly.
Damian lets the other kids grab their phones first, he then gets up and does the same. He checks his phone for any messages and sees one from his father. Sent about two minutes ago. "Jason is on his way." the massage states. Todd? Pennyworth must be busy. Damian thinks to himself.
As Damian walks down the halls, making his way to the exit, he is suddenly pulled into the boy's bathroom. As he's still being dragged, he looks up to see Travis dragging him. He pulls Travis off of him, shoving him aggressively to the side. Travis gathers himself and scoffs angrily. Damian looks around, seeing Travis, Riley, and multiple goons (about four or five). He doesn't like the vibe he's getting from this. Travis walks over, next to Riley and leans on him as if they've known each other forever. Riley has an unusually smug look on his face. He's definitely spent way too much time with Travis.
"What do you want Keller?" Damian demands, seemingly paying no attention to other kids around them, including Riley. Damian hasn't seen either Travis or Riley since they pulled him into the science room, which was about four or five days ago.
Travis goes from a smug face to an unamused one as he parts himself from Riley's shoulder. He walks closer to Damian. "You're really getting on my nerves, you know... You just don't give up do you? I mean, I've turned this entire school against you, and yet you still seem to think you're better than me." Travis scoffs. Damian rolls his eyes. "That's because I don't put on a theater act every second of the day, unlike you and your little goons." Damian explains, looking at Riley as he says goons. Riley clenches his fists in anger.
Travis steps forward and grabs Damian by the collar suddenly, pulling him up a bit. Damian lets him do so and keeps close attention to the body language of the goons. They watch on as if they're watching a scene from a really interesting movie. Some of them look as though they're ready to pounce as soon as Damian makes a move against Travis. They look as though they're both watching a scene and trying to intimidate him. Damian scoffs at their try-hard behavior.
Travis looks down with hatred and disgust into Damian's eyes. "You really think you're so special? My parents chose to keep me. Yours got stuck with you. Everyone loves me, your family simply tolerates you. You think you're one of us? One of them? Think again! You're a disgrace! You're not a Wayne, you're a pain, a disappointment, a mistake. Not even your own mother loved you!" Travis screams into Damian's face aggressively.
Damian shoves Travis off of him, nearly making him fall over. "You don't know anything!" Damian screams harshly. Damian could feel a pain in his chest. Are you really hurt by some words? You really are weak. Some of the goons look as though they are about to tackle Damian, but Travis gives some sort of hand motion that seems to tell them "Calm down, I've got this."
"Maybe... but your little friend here does." Travis says with a creepy grin on his face. Riley steps forward, Damian feels himself tense a bit. He looks at Riley as he smiles at him with the same unsettling grin Travis has.
"I've been there. I've met your family. I've seen them look at you in disgust while you weren't paying attention." Riley says coldly. Damian clenches his fists hard enough that his nails were actually picking at his skin a bit. Riley bends down more, going right up against Damian's ear. "You think they love you? I've heard the things they say. 'Demon-spawn'... 'Brat', the way they look at you, like you're too much to handle. Like you're a disappointment." Riley says coldly, it almost feels as though he's practiced this in his head.
