It had been two weeks since you and Mac had gone undercover to catch those neighbors in the act. Despite the bugs that were planted, they hadn't gotten any information about any meetings going down to sell the weapons. To make matters even worse, those weird feelings you were getting around Mac were only getting stronger. No more bickering was happening between you two, instead you found yourselves growing closer to each other. Of course you weren't sure how Mac felt but you caught him more than once stealing a glance at you from time to time. This caused a odd tightness in your chest, that you tried your hardest to ignore.

Currently you were listening to audio through the headset, listening to the current conversation between the people across the street. That's when you finally heard them slip, causing you to suddenly sit up straight on the edge of the couch.

"Yeah tonight's the night. We'll meet you at the shipping docks at midnight. Make sure you have the money in cash." Then you heard a click and the dial tone.

Mac soon came from outside, coming back from his morning surveillance jog. He saw the look on your face and raised an eyebrow "What's up?"

You didn't say a word, instead you played back the audio for him to hear. His eyes grew wide, he didn't hesitate for a moment before calling Matty.

It was later in the evening and Matty told you both to stay put to not raise suspicions. She was going to send a black ops unit to the docks to take down the meeting. This left you alone with Mac, the two of you just sitting there with binoculars, as you kept an eye out of the window, a clear view across the street. It was an hour till midnight and soon the married couple was leaving there house. They were carrying suspicious black duffel bags before climbing into the mini van and soon pulling out the driveway.

Eventually you sat on the couch reading a book just waiting out for the mission to end. When Mac suddenly waltzed into the living room. "Look what I found." He stated, holding up a bottle of wine.

"Mac, we're still technically on the clock." You smiled at him in a warm way, which you still weren't use to versus the way you would look at him two weeks ago.

"Come on, one glass. What would it hurt?" He smirked, soon pulling out two wine glasses from behind hi back like a magic trick.

"Fine." You gave in, setting your book on the coffee table, while Mac poured two glasses of wine. Soon he handed you one, while raising his own glass up in the air to signal a toast.

"To another successful mission, as well as a newfound friendship." He smiled sweetly at you.

You felt your cheeks blush as you clicked your glass gently against his own. As you took a sip of the wine, your eyes never left Macs as he stared intently at you.

"Look I'm just gonna come out and say it. These last couple of weeks, things have changed...our dynamic isn't what it was and I- well I've been feeling certain things. I really hope I don't sound crazy but I'm falling for you." Mac stated suddenly.

This confession threw you off guard as you sat in shock "Mac." You whispered. However, you didn't get a chance to respond when suddenly Macs lips were softly pressed against yours in a tender tentative kiss. Your body melted at the feeling, and you found yourself kissing back. The kiss growing more heated over time, as you blindly sat you glass on the coffee table. Mac mimicked your same actions with his glass and pulled you close against his body.

You weren't sure why but you found yourself pulling away. Slightly out of breath you frowned "We should stop."

Mac frowned at the loss of contact "Why? Did I do something wrong? Was it really that bad?"

"No! Mac that kiss was amazing, but I think we should take a step back. I mean, two weeks ago we hated eachother. Honestly, what if we just got caught up in make believe land, in the game of pretend life. I wanna say I feel the same way you do but I have my doubts." You frowned as you tried to reach for his hand but Mac was quick to jolt up.

He now stood above you, looking down at you in disbelief "Your questioning how I feel about you? Y/n. I've been undercover before. This isn't the same thing. How could you even doubt that? We've grown so close these last two weeks. I wanted to explore what this could be but now your saying you have doubts?"

You looked up at him with sad eyes "Mac please, let's just slow down that's all I'm asking. Let's be positive before we jeopardize everything and things end up back to the way they were before."

Mac huffed, feeling humiliation sink it at him putting his heart out there for nothing. "Fine, let's take a step back. I need some air. I'm going for a walk."

Before you could object or even try to stop him Mac was out the door, slamming it behind him.

It had been a whole ten minutes since Mac left. You sat frozen on the couch afraid to move for some reason. It wasn't until a loud abrupt sound resonated thought out the foyer. The front door being kicked in and soon Paul was facing you with a gun pointed at you. "Surprise neighbor. Thought I'd drop by for a visit. You left these at our place." He then reached into his pocket and threw the two bugs you guys had planted onto the floor beside you.

You hesitantly looked at him in genuine surprise as you grew angry at the man "So, the meet up tonight isn't real?"

"Oh it's real, we may have just said the wrong meet up point. So whoever it is your working for, are currently waiting for nobody. My wife is handling the deal now, making us tons of money while I'm here to kill you. Although I was hoping your fake husband would be here for me to kill too. I guess I'll just have to settle on you." He smirked getting ready to pull the trigger.

Suddenly your training instincts kicked in and without thinking you pushed yourself off the couch, and lunged at him as you tackled him to the ground. The sounds of grunting and groaning echoed throughout the room as you fought your hardest against the man. Just as he had thrown you down onto the ground, hard, you caught sight of the gun. You began to crawl towards it but soon Paul grabbed you by the ankles and pulled you back. Before you could register what was happening, Paul had turned you onto your back and had you pinned down. In an instant he grabbed the nearby wine bottle and smashed it against your face causing you to scream in pain and the millions of shards of glass penetrated into your skin.

If it wasn't for the adrenaline coursing through your veins you were sure it would've knocked you out. With what little strength you had you forced him off you throwing him backwards. Reaching your arm from the gun you were quick to turn to him, letting out a single shot as it hit him in the shoulder. You tried to fire again but the man was already out the door, leaving you there bleeding and battered from your wounds.

You soon felt your body grow weak, losing what little energy you had left. The gun fell from your hands and as you eyes began to slowly fall shut a you could say in a soft whisper was "Mac." Before everything went black.

Hey guys, looks like I'll be doing a part 3 lol
