Science is fun!

Hey guys! It's been a while, so sorry. I think I am coming to the end of this series, but I want to at least hit 100 before I finish this out. I got an idea for a plot, and I do have a couple of requests I just haven't gotten to yet, but I will. Love your guy's support always ❤️.

How did you end up here? You were not this kind of a woman, someone who has to lie to get a man to like her. What were you thinking? You weren't thinking, that's your problem. You were distracted by those gorgeous blue eyes and golden locks, with a smile that made your knees buckle.

So, when Mac was asking if anyone wanted to go to a physics expo with him, he wasn't expecting anyone to actually say yes, let alone you. He had gotten two free tickets for this thing from an old college professor from MIT that Mac and the team had helped out. You know, just your average run of the mill day stopping a potential attack on Mac's old stomping grounds.

When Mac had practically ran into the war room waving the tickets in his hands, he announced to the entire room his exciting news. "Guys! I just got two tickets to the most prestigious physics convention in LA! It's so hard to get these tickets, and I miss out every year! Professor Jennings was so grateful to us for our help he gave me these tickets he got through his connections. So, who's going with me?!"

Jack, Riley, and Bozer all shared the same look that said they would rather do anything else but that. While you sat there contemplating spending alone time with Mac, uninterrupted. It was no secret that you had a crush on this man. You were sure everyone knew it, but Mac himself.

"Gee Mac, I'd love to be there with you while you get your nerd on, but I gotta wash the GTO. Have fun, though, geeking out and whatnot." Jack said with a smile as he patted him on the shoulder before running out of there.

Riley and Bozer both mumbled something almost inaudible about various excuses, including one of them having to reprogram Sparky and the other stating that she had to reinstall something on her rig. Then they both ran out of there as fast as Jack had previously.

Mac rolled his eyes at his friends lame attempts to get out of this with him.

Without even thinking another second about it, you jumped up from your seat and loudly, way too eagerly as well said "I'll go with you, Mac."

You hadn't been on the team that long, so no one knew that much about you yet, including Mac.

Mac turned to you in surprise with a smile so wide it made your insides melt. "Really?! Oh, that's awesome, I didn't know you were into this kind stuff?"

"Oh yeah! Are you kidding?! I love science! It's the best, I mean, who doesn't love to talk about Newtons law of physics, am I right?" Omg. Shut up. What the hell are you even talking about? You sound ridiculous! You yelled to yourself in your head.

Mac just smiled, a laugh escaping his lips as he took in how eager you sounded. "Well then, it's a date." He said in a more playful tone this time. "I'll pick you up at your place tomorrow at 5." He grinned as he gave you a gentle but brief hug before practically skipping out of there.

A date. You have a date with MacGyver.  The man you hadn't stopped thinking about since you joined the team and you got this date by lying.

You did not know the first thing about physics. Honestly, science was your worst subject in school. You made your lab partner do all of the work so that you didn't fail.
