Jimin and Jungkook didn't speak much over the next few days, Jimin was still upset with the boy in the beginning and the taller boy didn't seem all that happy with Jimin either. They had a short discussion about getting together to pick the photos for their project, but other than that they didn't say much to each other until lunch on Friday.
Photography class earlier that day hadn't been too awkward as they weren't working on the project that day and they didn't have to sit next to each other. Jimin could see Jungkook giving him the occasional glance from across the classroom from the corner of his eye, he almost looked sad, but Jimin just tried to focus on his notes. His feelings had mellowed over the week, the anger and resentment simmering down to something resembling regret. He wasn't angry at the boy anymore and he figured he'd been a bit too hard on him. He didn't know how to approach Jungkook and mend their relationship though. He didn't even know what kind of relationship they had, were they even friends?
When Jimin got to the cafeteria for lunch he spotted his friends at their usual table. He started to walk towards them when he noticed that the only available seat was next to Jungkook. He stopped for a second before continuing to make his way towards them.
"Hi guys." Jimin said as he sat down next to the taller boy, not looking at him.
"Jimin, can you settle something for us?" Taehyung said, his mouth full of tuna sandwich.
"What is it?" Jimin asked while taking out his usual calorie dense meal from his bag.

"Who would be most likely to survive on a desert island, Jin or Jungkook?" His best friend asked eagerly. "We're split halfway."
"Easy, Jungkook." Jimin replied while taking the first bite of his lunch.
Everyone looked at him surprised, Jungkook most of all.
"What?" Jimin asked. "Jin would literally die within the first five minutes, besides Jungkook is good at pretty much everything. It's a no brainer."
"Since when do you compliment Jungkook?" Namioon asked. Jimin just shrugged and turned his attention back to his lunch.
"Yah! I would not die within the first five minutes Park Jimin." Jin yelled waving his chopsticks at the boy. "Watch your mouth."
"You so would, you can't even find your own shoes in the morning." Tae laughed into his sandwich.
Jin looked like Tae had offended his entire family, this seemed to be about more than just shoes. Hoseok started laughing and almost fell off his chair while Tae and Jin got into a heated discussion about respecting each other's belongings.
"Thanks for giving me the win." Jungkook said and gave
Jimin a small smile.
"Didn't know you'd care so much about something like that." Jimin said raising his eyebrows.
"I don't, I just didn't expect you to ever take my side." He let out a chuckle and Jimin almost thought it sounded like the boy was nervous.
"I wasn't about to let Jin win that. He does not need to add survival techniques as a hobby. He's already asking us to go fishing all the time and I'm not too keen on being left in a random forest and eat berries to survive." Jimin smiled shyly at the boy. "I wasn't going to risk us all dying."

Jungkook laughed heartily. "Yeah that was probably wise."
As the friends were finishing up their lunch Hoseok asked if they wanted to go to their usual coffee shop after classes ended. Jimin and Taehyung quickly accepted, agreeing that a coffee in the sun was exactly what they needed after another stressful week.
"Me and Jin have plans, sorry." Namjoon said.
"Oooh" Tae wiggled his eyebrows at the boy.
"Get your mind out of the gutter Taehyung." Jin said and rolled his eyes. "We're going shopping for a birthday gift for my mum."
"What about you Yoongi?" Hoseok asked, ignoring
Taehyung's continued teasing of the couple.
"I've got work tonight." Yoongi replied while scrolling through something on his phone.
"Jungkook?" Hoseok turned his face towards the brown-haired boy.
Jungkook looked at Jimin apprehensively, and Jimin gave him a genuine smile. He wanted the boy to stop acting so awkward around him and extending this small olive branch could maybe stop the tension that had brewed between them the last week.
"Yeah sure, I'm down." He finally replied.
"Great!" Hoseok exclaimed, smiling big. "Let's meet at the northern gates at three.
Jimin and Namioon only had one class on Friday afternoons while the other boys had two. Litterateur class went by quickly, the teacher had informed them about their next assignment on '1984' and let them read for the rest of the class. The boys were now walking towards the library to wait for their friends.
"Has something happened between you and Jungkook?"
