Jungkook didn't text Jimin at all on Friday and Jimin didn't text the other boy either. Even though he was around all his other friends he felt strangely lonely, he had gotten used to the constant buzzing from his phone signalling that Jungkook sent a new message and he missed it.
Jimin kept thinking about Jungkook, what he was doing, how he was feeling. He tried to distract himself, but his mind kept drifting off to the hurt look on the brown-haired boy's face. At least he had the dance recital to look forward to tomorrow, and seeing Yeonjun after.
Jimin told his friends about Yeoniun's invitation and they had all excitedly agreed to go. They were currently sitting in the cafeteria eating lunch and Namioon said he would text Jungkook to ask if he wanted to come too. Jimin secretly hoped the boy would say yes just so that he could see him.
"So, who is this Yeonjun guy anyway, I haven't met him."
Yoongi asked
"He's a dance major, he's in the year below me." Hoseok was quick to answer. "He was in Jimin's contemporary dance class last year. The guy is really talented, plus he has the body of a god." Hoseok added and raised his eyebrows a few times at Jimin which made the boy blush.
Apparently Hoseok knew about his crush too. He wanted to kick Hoseok under the table, but he was sitting too far away. Luckily it seemed like only Taehyung had noticed as he could see the boy was trying to hide a smile with his hand.
"Wow, I didn't know you looked at that kind of stuff Hobi."

Namjoon said with an amused smile.
"What, a guy can't compliment another man's body anymore?" Hoseok screwed up his face in fake offence.
"I mean Hobi's not wrong, the dude is ripped." Taehyung said and they all laughed. "This is going to be so much fun!
It's about time that we mingle with some other people, we can't keep hooking up with each other." It seemed like his best friend had realised what he had said as his eyes flickered over to Jimin's for a second slightly panicked.
"Yah, you need to stop talking about that kiss, we were playing spin the bottle." Jin said while hitting the younger boy's arm. "I didn't actually want to kiss you"
Jimin let out a sigh of relief and smiled while his friends broke out into laughter.
"You know, I think Jin is plucking us off one by one," Hoseok said after having recovered slightly. "I wonder who's going to be the next victim."
They all started laughing again while Jin glared at his friends, not amused whatsoever. "How is your performance coming along Hobi?" The oldest boy said, clearly wanting to change the subject.
"It's going well, I think I'm ready but I'm still going to put in a couple of hours of practice after school today." Hoseok said while drying the tears from his eyes from having laughed so hard.
Hoseok had spent more time at the dance studio than at home the last week, only coming home to sleep. Jimin knew that the older boy was tired and stressed about the performance so he had tried to cheer him up in any way that he could. He left encouraging messages for his friend in his gym bag, on the bathroom mirror and in his pre-prepared lunch boxes. He kept the dorm room clean and occasionally climbed into the red-haired boy's bed hugging him so that he would have an easier time falling asleep.
Hoseok was always there for Jimin so it was the least he could do.

"You're going to do amazing." Jimin said giving his friend a beaming smile. "We're going to cheer so loudly that you can't miss us."
"Aish, don't do that." Hoseok said with an embarrassed smile while looking down at his abandoned gimbap, but he was clearly enjoying the praise.
Namoon's phone lit up on the table next to his half-eaten sandwich and Jimin's stomach dropped. "Jungkook can't make it so it'll be just the six of us again." The boy said after locking his phone and putting it in his pocket.
"Is he alright?" Yoongi asked with his eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, he's just caught that bug that's going around."
Namjoon answered, not meeting Yoongi's eyes
"Are you sure? I haven't heard from him all week, he hasn't even replied in the group chat. He doesn't usually drop off the face of the earth like this."
Namioon looked visibly nervous. He bit his lip and picked at one of his fingernails clearly not knowing how to explain the younger boy's absence.
"He's alright, I saw him yesterday." Jimin suddenly said before he could stop himself. Namjoons's head shot up to look at the blonde boy, surprise colouring every feature of his face. "We had to finish our photography project. He's just been sleeping a lot." Jimin shrugged. He was a lot better at lying than Namjoon. He'd had a lot of practice.
"Oh." Yoongi said. "He's still not better?"
"He is, but maybe not enough to go out drinking with you idiots." Jimin said with a laugh. Namjoon was still looking at him, his eyes squinting slightly as if he was trying to figure out how much Jimin knew of the actual reason Jungkook hadn't showed up to classes for a week.
Their conversation naturally went back to their plans for the weekend and soon Jimin found himself walking towards his afternoon literature class with Namjoon by his side.
