In a helicopter over the Utah desert, Tony is with the search and rescue team. They're all flying through the air, heading for the crash site. It makes it to the crash site. Tony looks around, and sees a lot of pieces of the plane everywhere. The helicopter flies over, and they all hop out of it as it gets low.

Rhodes: Go! Move! Move! Fall out!

They all run to the site with the chopper behind them.

Rhodes: Wallace, over there! Reed, check over there! Kelly, check over there! Hale, go there!

They all spread out, to check out the wreckage, looking for the pilots. Tony looks around, trying to see if his brother is around. He can't see him anywhere. He takes readings, but can't get anything. He walks over to the Chief.

Rhodes: (To Kelly) See anything?

Kelly: Not a dang thing!

Rhodes: Hale, you?

Tony: No! I don't see anyone!

Rhodes: (Talks on radio) Colonel, this is Rhodes.

Colonel on radio: Go, Max.

Rhodes: Aircraft disintegrated. Negative survivors on site. Checking payload. Over.

Colonel on radio: You watch your needles there, Chief.

Reed: Over here! (Whistles) Over here! (Whistles)

Tony, Rhodes, and Kelly see him and Wallace have found something. They found a big part of the plane, holding the payload. The chopper flies over. They all rush to it, and try to open it up. Tony and Rhodes reach them as they open it up. They all look inside, and to their surprise, they don't see the nukes inside.

Kelly: The nukes are gone.

Tony looks at Kelly and Rhodes, who looks at them. He walks away to contact the colonel. Tony and Kelly look at him.

Rhodes: Colonel! We got ourselves a Broken Arrow.

Colonel on radio: You find those nukes, Chief. If your geigers pick up more rads than you get off a toaster, I want you out of there.

Tony: (Looks at Kelly) What's a Broken Arrow?

Kelly: It's a class IV strategic theater emergency. It's what we call it when we lose a nuclear weapon.

Tony: You know, I don't know what's scarier, losing nuclear weapons or that it happens so often, there's actually a term for it.

Kelly: Yeah, I know. We don't even know where the heck the dang things are.

They all rush back to the chopper to get onboard. Tony looks around below as the chopper flies.

Tony: I don't understand. Why didn't they go off?

Rhodes: They've both gotta be armed to detonate. They're designed to survive crashes intact. They could lie in a pool of burning jet fuel for five hours, no problem.

Tony: Then what happened? Why were they ejected from the plane?

Rhodes: In his last transmission before the crash, Major Deakins said that your brother lost control. It's possible one of them may have hit weapons release during the confusion.

Tony looks at him, and at Kelly. He nods at him. He sighs, and leans back. He hopes that his brother is okay. The chopper continues flying through the night, looking for the nukes.
