Rodriguez walks around the place. Just then, he receives a phone call. He picks it up.
Michael: Rodriguez. (Listens to the man on the line) Yes. You what? Alright, sir. I'll go tell him. Thank you, sir.
He hangs up, and walks back in the command room. He sees Wilkins.
Michael: Colonel, Colonel Jamison was the line. He said they've found Captain Hale, and Technical Sergeant Hale. They're at Lake Powell with others.
Wilkins: Good. Let's go get 'em.
They both leave the room. They also take Giles with them. Meanwhile, with Deakins and his group, they've made it through the river, and they're now on a truck with the nuke. They're gonna drive it away. Gilson is the back with Kelly and the others. Deakins in the passenger seat with the driver. Gilson looks at the nuke, and sighs. He really hopes that this is all worth it. Meanwhile, at Lake Powell, a helicopter is now landing by the boat piers. Soldiers have the Hale brothers, Brenda, and the heroes. They're walking to the landing chopper. Wilkins, and Rodriguez get out of the chopper. They approach them as Giles gets out too. He walks with them. The soldiers salute to the colonel, along with Tony and Riley.
Soldier: Sir, the prisoners are secure.
Wilkins: Alright, Tom. Good job. You gentlemen can RTB. I'll take it from here.
Tom: Roger, sir. Returning to base.
Tony: (Walks with them) Sir, it's good to see you again.
Wilkins: You too, Tony.
Tony: Did you find the boat we've told them about?
Wilkins: They found the raft on the other side of the lake. Tracks from a heavy truck ran out when they hit the paved road.
They take them to a empty store, where they can talk in private. Tony called Brenda's parents to let them that they've found her. They tell them all everything they've found, and where Deak is going. Riley then walks to the colonel.
Riley: What about the girl?
Giles: What about her?
Riley: (Looks at him) What about her? She's an innocent victim in all this. Tony and I got her, and the kids involved. Now, when you guys find that truck, you're gonna hit it with everything you've got. We don't want her becoming a casualty. Look, maybe giving her up is ok with you, but we're military officers. We took an oath, one officer to another.
Tony: (To Wilkins) Sir, he's right. We have a responsibility to save that woman's life and get back the weapon.
Wilkins: And I have a responsibility to follow orders and return you both to McMurren. Do you and your brother understand what orders are, Captain and Technical Sergeant?
Both: Yes, sir. We do.
Wilkins: Good.
They both look at him with frowned looks on their faces. He turns around, and faces them.
Wilkins: 'Cause I'm about to break them.
They all then look at him with surprised looks, including Giles. But Riley and Tony look at him with knowing looks on their faces. Wilkins looks at Giles.
Wilkins: Any argument, Mr. Prentice?
Giles: No, sir. (Looks at the Hale brothers) Just for the record, I'm not entirely a civilian. I was actually a lieutenant in the rotc at Yale.
Tony looks at him, and at his brother. He shrugs, and smiles.
Riley: Good for you, lieutenant.
Rodriguez chuckles at this. The heroes also chuckle at this. Then, they take out a big map that shows the country.
Rodriguez: Sir, the radio is still down. It's gonna take a long while for it to come back online.
Giles: Your chopper will be refueled in two minutes. I wish I were going with you.
Tony: It's fine. Besides, we're gonna need someone to bring Brenda back to her parents. They're really worried sick about her. Think you can do that for us?
Giles looks at him, and nods.
Sora: So, what do we do now?
Wilkins: Captain, what exactly are you looking for?
Riley: Tracks.
Wilkins: As in railroad tracks?
Riley: Yeah. Deak knows you're covering every road north of here. I'll bet 20 bucks that nuke is not on a truck, it's on a train.
Wilkins: Let me see the map. (Looks at the map, and points out the tracks that leads to Salt Lake City) Alright, Salt Lake is Northwest of here. These tracks curve east before Salt Lake. Why would he do that?
Riley: (Shakes his head) I don't think he's going to Salt Lake.
Everyone looks at him, and at each other. How does he know that?
Giles: But that's where the closest hospital is. You and your brother found the radiology tag yourselves.
Riley: I know. That's what's been bothering me. I think he planted it. He wanted the person that found it to think that's where he was heading. He's doing a rope-a-dope.
Wilkins: He's doing what?
Riley: (Looks at them) A rope-a-dope. You know, it's a boxing term. Ali and Foreman in Zaire.
Wilkins: Captain, I know what the rope-a-dope is. What's your point?
Tony: I know what he means. His point is that everything he shows us says he's heading west. He's actually heading east. Think about it. In boxing, you'll think he's gonna give you another left, and he gives you a right.
He takes a marker and marks on the map, and shows that the tracks leads east...right to Denver.
Tony: Denver.
Riley: You said you had Salt Lake sealed up pretty tight. What's it gonna hurt if we check out Denver?
Everyone looks at him, and at the map. They all know what they must check out the tracks that leads to Denver. The end of the mission is coming near. The heroes then look at each other, and nod. They're gonna need their flying monsters for this.
Here's the 13th chapter of Kingdom Hearts: Broken Arrow. Looks like the heroes are gonna be heading for Denver. Deak is real smart for this. The story is almost over. I think I only got two or three chapters left for this. Let me know what you all think of the chapter. Vote, review, and comment. Thank you.
