Chapter 14: Railroad tracks to Denver, train fight

Gilson follows Deak out of a train car from a door. They're indeed on a train, and it's moving through grassy plains and hills. And the train is on its way to Denver. Deak leads Kelly and Gilson on the train cars, until they meet up with the rest of their men on another car. 

Deakins: Shepherd!

Shepherd: Hey, Deak!

Deakins: Any trouble with the train crew? 

Shepherd: Not a bit. They went like lambs.

Deakins: Good for them. Let's get that satellite dish wired in. 

Shepherd: (Holds up a remote) Already done. 

Deakins: (Takes it) Excellent. 

Shepherd: With this remote, you can shut the bomb down face to face or if you want, you can dial it in over the link. 

Deakins: Alright. Let's close this deal. And Shepherd, I want to be airborne in five minutes en route to the mountains. Kelly, contact Washington and let them know that the bomb's on its way to Denver. Then contact Geneva. When the money's in place, I'll shut down that puppy. Gilson, you go check on Max to see how he's doing with the bomb. 

Gilson nods at him. Deakins then puts his arm around Shepherd and smiles at his men. 

Deakins: Smile, boys. We're about to retire. 

Man: (To men) Let's get this bird unwrapped!

They're now unwrapping an escaped helicopter, planning on using it to get away from the train. Gilson walks to the car where the nuke is at. He meets up with Max, who is working on the bomb. He checks to make sure that it's working, and is set to use. Gilson comes in, and he walks to Max.

Gilson: Max, how are we doing with the bomb? 

Max: It's working good. All we have to do is make sure we're far away once it's blows. We're gonna be rich, Gilson. 

Gilson: I hope so. I really hope it's worth all this. 

Max: Trust me, it will be. (Suddenly sees someone) Gilson, behind you!

Gilson turns around, and sees Terry. She swings a hammer down on him. He tries to block it with his gun, but he's not quick enough. She hits him on the head with it. He groans, and falls down. She tries to do the same with Max, but he blocks it. He then hits her. She lands on a crate. 

Max: We haven't met. I'm Max. 

He grabs her, and throws her at another crate. She hits it, and lands on the floor. He picks up the hammer as Gilson lays on the floor, groaning in pain as he clutches his head. Hr tries to hit her with the hammer, but she uses a broken board, and hits him in his arm, making him drop it. She keeps hitting him with the board, but he blocks it too, and punches her in the face. She lays by the hammer.

Max: You probably thought I was a computer nerd, didn't ya? (Chuckles) Wrong. I was a navy seal, lady. (Takes out his pistol) You really should see what I can do with just my thumb. 

He cocks it, and aims at her. But she picks up the hammer, and throws it at him. It hits him in his forehead. He groans, and flies backwards. He lands on the floor by Gilson. Gilson continues groaning, clutching his head. The side of his head is bleeding. Terry gets up, and walks over to them. She sees that Max is dead. His eyes are open, but are blank. The mark from the hammer is on the left side of his forehead. She slowly reaches down, and takes his pistol. She stuffs it behind her backside. She looks at Gilson, and sees he's too much pain to do anything. She leaves him there. She walks over to the bomb, and looks at it. She wonders if she does the same like Hale did, maybe the nuke will go dead if she enters the wrong code. She reaches down slowly to touch one of the buttons, but then, a gun is pressed against her head. She gasps as she feels it. It's Deakins, who smirks at her. Meanwhile, Tony and Riley are now with Wilkins and Rodriguez on the chopper, following the tracks where the train is. Behind them, are the dragon monsters with the heroes. Penny is still offline, but they're still trying to get her back online. They've left her with Brenda and Giles. Hopefully, she'll be back online soon. They're flying over the tracks, heading for the train. Back on the train, Kelly helps up Gilson, who is shaking off his pain. After that, Kelly picks up Max's body, and throws it out of the car. He closes the door. They both look at Deakins, who is still pointing the gun at Terry.
