Chapter 7 Staff

Third person POV.

Shadow dodged Zatanna's attacks and continued quickly towards the crystal to get it back out of the truck and onto the hard cement.

The thought of losing the chance to do this mission full and complete was on repeat in her head. She didn't care that there was now more of an obstacle to deal with. She adapted to it. She had to, she wanted to, and needed to.

As much as it pains her and fills her with so much guilt, she will fight them, if it means to finish this mission and save… Cree from what she had to go through.

Wally, who was thrown/shot back, groans into pain.

He thought this was going to be an easy, quick recon mission: not this.

Not getting his ass kicked once again by Shadow, or accidently put in the middle of… Shadows dodges and his teammates attack.

Both just cause him pain.

He rolls onto his side, rubbing his head. His eyes open and scan the area around him, and they lock onto Shadow and the crystal.  Without hesitation, he got up not caring about the pain he was in, and ran at her: causing Shadow to go flying back from the Crees crystal.

Shadow's body stumbles a couple of times in the air before landing on the ground, she is swift to get back up and dodges Kid Flash attack. Using ice, the road under him becomes icing causing him to slip and fall back onto his back. This gave her time to go straight to the crystal again.

Conner was already waiting for her with a smirk on his face. As she reached them, he went straight at them.

Shadow was quick to dodge his punches and one of the dodges caused him to hit the crystal then her.

She lands a few feet away from Conner and Cree. She turns swiftly around and looks at the crystal and froze. It was starting to shatter to bits because of Conner's hit.

Cree was free in a few seconds. The crystal case that kept him locked up was scattered in sharp bits on the road all around him. Cree only survived the crystal shattering because of the spell that was placed on him before he was crystallized. It kept him safe from that.

Shadow steps back slowly as she sees him slowly move around.

She was fucked. No, they were all fucked.

The instant Cree could get a good smell of her: either by her blood or just her, they would know who she was.

The species he is, has better senses than humans. Just a tiny whiff of her scent, especially her blood will tell him everything he would need to know of her, he would instantly know who she was, who she was related to.

Freya knew if her plan went as planned as it was supposed too, all of this wouldn't have been happening right now. She knew he was going to attack her when she opened the crystal alone and it wasn't going to go the best, but at least she would have had it under control from the start. But now, she has to figure it out as it goes.

Instead of just making sure she was safe from Crees wrath, she needs to make sure her soulmates/teammates; and teammate are safe from him too.

Getting ready for the fight that will take place soon, she twists her right wrist around and a long staff appears. Her fingers wrapped around it tightly.

Her eyes lock onto one of the things that she had come for; something that she has been wanting for centuries now. A crystal.

The crystal around his neck is the energy of half of the crystals on her planet and some of her people too. Getting it would be astounding and good for many reasons.
