Chapter 14

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry that this isn't very long and personally I think it's a bit meh but I really just wanted to get what I had so far on here so you didn't have to wait any longer. Hope you enjoy!

AVERY POV:

"Sweetheart?"

I shake my head to clear my thoughts as I realise I was still staring at him as he came out of the wardrobe, "Sorry did you say something"

"Yeah I said Liz linked me, she's downstairs with your blood test results"

"Oh, she is? Okay, um let's go down then"

He holds his hand out to me and I allow him to lead me to the lounge room downstairs where Liz is already sitting and waiting.

"Hello Luna, it's lovely to see you up and about" she says smiling softly

I blush at the Luna comment, not used to the title at all yet, "You can call me Avery"

"Ok then Avery, how are you feeling?"

I shrug nervously, "Ok I guess"

Derek guides me to sit down on the couch and he sits next to me.

Her smile widens, "That's good, I can see your a bit more comfortable and that Derek has healed you"

I blush, "Yeah a little"

She pulls out a manilla folder with my name on the front and starts pulling out various pieces of paper.

"Ok so your results are all in and I took the liberty of taking a few extra tests to ensure you had no STD's and-"

"ST-What?" I interrupt and immediately redden in embarrassment for being so rude

"STD's. Sexually Transmitted Diseases you could have picked up from your previous...home?"

She explains, not sure of what to call my prior place of residence and the situation I was in

"Wait I could have got diseases" I ask starting to panic at this new piece of information

I feel a hand on my shoulder and for once I don't get scared, in fact the hand calms me almost instantly and I lean back into the warm body sitting besides me on the couch. The same hand now wraps around me and I sigh at the feel of my mate holding me close.

He kisses the top of my head, "Calm down baby girl"

I don't miss the small smile spreading across Liz's face. She clears her throat, "Anyway as I was saying, I took the extra tests and everything came back completely clear so you have nothing to worry about in that department."

I'm pulled back and placed on Derek's lap, "And the general blood tests? What did they say?"

"Much of what I expected, most key vitamin levels are low, everything from vitamin D to her iron levels. She should regenerate them fairly quickly with a good diet but like I told you the other day she can't eat very heavy foods straight away."

"I've been having soup and some soft bread, and in the mornings I've managed some eggs" I speak up

"Thats really great hun, I'll give you a multivitamin to take for the next couple weeks until everythings all at a better level."
