Chapter 2

Second chapter as promised :)

Forgot to mention last time that I'm an Aussie so I may use some words, spelling or phrases that you unfamiliar with, without even realising it. If you have any questions I'd be happy to clear it up for you.

As said last chapter, this story is for mature audiences.

I whimper as more pain seeps in. Ava must be exhausted from all that running.

'I'm so sorry Avery, I can't help it. I'm too weak'

'It's okay Ava. We're going to be okay.'

'If you say so...'

I'm drawn out of my thoughts as I hear a thunderous growl revibrate throughout the forest. I tremble in fear, he must be the Alpha, how else would he be so huge and strong. He shifts in front of me and I quickly close my eyes at his nakedness while he pulls on the shorts tied to his ankle. Why didn't I think of that?

He growls at me again, "Shift, rogue."

I whimper in fear, it occurs to me that I have no idea how to shift. I only shifted that one time and Alpha John bashed me over the head when he saw what colour I was and knocked me out. I woke up in human form so I have no recollection of how I did it and how I'm supposed to do it now.

"I said shift rogue." The huge man spits out

I whimper again and shake my head backing away slowly from him. He growls again and slowly advances on me. I shrink back further in fear and I'm about to attempt running when I feel it. It's Ava. She's reached the point of exhaustion and her hold on my pain has slipped and it all hits me at full force.

The broken bones, the bruising, the cuts, the welts, the sore muscles and the burning pain between my legs is too much as I sway on my already unstable paws. I let out a strangled cry of pain which sounds more like a howl in this form and the man's furious face recedes slightly as he sniffs the air, leaning towards me.

He looks at me closely and I see him try to study me in the dark, "You're a white wolf..."

I whimper again as I have no idea if this is a good or a bad thing. He takes another step towards me and I take one back. Only this time I feel a try against my back. It hits a bruise and I whimper again.

He sniffs the air some more, "Wait you're...you're female."

I nod my head as best I can and his eyes widen in shock. I know why.

Females are supposed to be cherished in the pack. They're supposed to be treated with upmost respect and protected, regardless of if they have a mate to do the protecting or not. It's quite rare to find a female rogue and I know he's surprised.

He crouches down in front of me and I whine, trying to shrink back even further from him. Great, now he knows I'm a girl he'll use me too. The softness in his gaze as he studies me under the moonlight shocks me though.

"Is that you're blood I can smell?" he questions

I nod slowly again, not sure what he's getting at. His eyes become distant and I realise he must be talking to someone through his packs mind link.

His eyes focus on me again, "I need you to shift and then I'm taking you to the Alpha"

My eyes widen in shock, he's not the Alpha? But he's huge! Huger than my old Alpha, how is that even possible. He must sense my surprise as he tells me he's the pack Beta.

"Now come on, shift to your human form"

I whimper and shake my head, how do I tell him I don't know how before he hurts me for disobeying?
