I'm sorry there was such a long wait. I had some issues with the app but I have FINALLY got a new laptop so I will no longer be writing and posting form my phone which is awesome. I'm still on school holidays so I'm hoping to get another chapter out soon.

DEREK'S POV:

I hear a knock at the front door and carefully untangle myself from my mate who's fallen asleep on me in the theatre room. Poor little thing was so exhausted despite sleeping for so long last night. I cover her with a blanket and place a soft kiss on her forehead, then quietly leave the room.

I open the front door and Tommy's standing on the other side of it holding some papers. I pull the door open wider for him to come inside.

"Where is she?" He looks around questionably

"She's asleep in the theatre room" I reply as I lead him through to my study

"Really? I thought she slept for ages already"

I sigh, "I know but she was still so exhausted, I don't think she's had a proper sleep in forever"

"Has she spoken much about where she came from?”

I plonk down onto my chair suddenly exhausted and run my hands down my face, "It's so much worse than we ever thought Tommy. She's been through so much I don't even know where to begin in helping her", He sits in the chair on the other side of my desk as I continue, "It's a complicated story that you probably won't believe but the Moon Goddess came to me in a dream of sorts and gave me a potion to drink"

I can tell by his face he thinks I've lost it, "And what did this magical potion do?"

"I drank it, then kissed her, then marked her"

"Wait are you telling me you marked her without mating with her? Are you insane?!"

I cut him off, "That's what the potion was for, it enabled me to mark her with only a kiss and not fully mating. If you saw the dream she projected to me last night by accident..." I shake my head, "fuck you'd know what I mean when I say she's in no way ready to mate. I don't know if she'd ever be ready for that"

"What did Liz say? How's her health?"

"She patched her up the best that she could but I healed her as soon as I marked her anyway. She was in way too much pain. Liz had a lot of info on white wolfs, she said something about them absorbing medications differently to us because of a faster metabolism so the painkillers did shit for her"

"She let you heal her? That's good, she was scared to even look at you when I found her"

I nod, "Poor thing was so grateful as if she was expecting me to just leave her in pain for however many weeks it took for her to heal herself."

"I hate to break it to you Derek but that's what she's probably used to"

"I know I just-fuck!" I slam my fist on my desk in anger, "I'm going to tear apart whoever did this to her"

"She still not saying who?" He asks ignoring my angry outburst

I shake my head, "Not a word. All I know is her name is Avery, she’s seventeen and she has no family, but her father was a Beta.”

He sighs, “You've just gotta take it slow man, you can't rush her with any of this. She’ll tell you more when she’s ready to.”

I nod in agreement and clear my throat, "Now, that info I asked you to get?"
