Originally this was going to be both Derek and Avery's POV but it was taking me too long to write and I really wanted to post something for you all so I've cut it at Dereks and hers will be the next chapter.
Also, I've posted Shelley Hennig as Avery, of course she's just who I think of and you guys can imagine whoever you like. If you have any suggestions for Derek or any of the other guys feel free to comment :)

DEREK POV:
“I can’t believe that just happened” I mutter as I make my way to the main pack house where Alpha Mark of the Bloodhound pack is waiting in my study for me.
“You’re telling me. I didn’t get a proper introduction but I’m guessing that was your mate?” My brother and head warrior/delta James asks
“Yeah, Avery, that was her. Sorry she freaked out, don’t take it personally she’s just not great around strangers, especially ones who have some kind of position in the pack. She’s terrified of everyone from Alpha’s to pack doctors.”
He clears his throat, “Tommy mentioned she wasn’t in the best of shape when he found her in the woods”
I project an image to him of what Avery looked like when Tommy first found her, “It killed me seeing her like that, so scared and hurt”
He sucks in a breath, “Shit I didn’t know it was that bad, Tommy also mentioned your run in with the moon goddess”
“You probably think I’m crazy”
He shakes is head, “I don’t think you’re crazy, I’ve seen her before too”
I raise an eyebrow for him to elaborate but he just tells me, “It’s a story for another day”
“So…she’s his sister”
I sigh heavily, my feet crunching against the leaf covered ground is the only sound we hear for a few moments as I gather my thoughts, “Yeah I guess she is”
“I’m assuming you didn’t know?”
I shake my head, “I had no idea. She never mentioned having a brother.”
“You think she knew he was here?”
“I’m not even sure if she knew he was alive still. She told me she doesn’t have any family”
“This whole situation is fucked up.”
“I think maybe subconsciously her wolf knew he was here and when she ran away from wherever she came from, her wolf led her here without even realising it”
“Did you say wolf?”
“She was the rogue Tommy found running along the border”
“But I thought Bass said she’s not 18 yet?”
“She shifted when she was 16, but I think he was too worked up to realise and sense her wolf just now”
“Couldn’t she have mind linked him? You can mind link from 13 with your family and the connection would have been even stronger if she had a wolf”
“She wasn’t allowed to. I only taught her how to do it yesterday, she really had no idea.”
“Not allowed to? Dude when Sebastian calms down and he finds out about all this he’s going to lose his shit”
“I know but I don't want him to scare her”
“He wouldn’t hurt her” James says adamantly
