The lights in the horizon start to form a city.

The empty streets and dark facades tell me this place had the same fate as mine.

My eyes are constantly scaning the surroundings, making sure that creature didn't followed me. I stopped hearing it once the fog got out of sight, but I don't wanna take the change of having it lurking around.

Walking further I find a light up building with a comic like arrow pointing down at it.

"Checkpoint"

The building was the city mall. I enter and start wandering aroud. The stores were closed, the metal bars blocking the door covered with a rust layer.

Just like the city, the shopping appeared lost in time. As if humanity had disappeared all of the sudden.

Right at the center, in front of a big fountain, was a computer. The screen shining the letters "Player nickname"

I crack my fingers, hesitant of what to do.

With an impulse I start to type: Randomterrorfan.

A little bit cringe, but no one take nycknames serious anyways.

A voice speaks once the name enters the system.

"Welcome to the Midnight Game Randomterrorfan. The challenges will start within 24 hours."

A loud siren echoed making me grab my head in pain. The sound felt like something was pounding inside of my skull. It became unbearable to the point of making me dizzy and black out.
