Where I live we have a rule that after midnight every electronic device is automatically turned off.

It saves a lot of energy and, according to the statistics, reduces the waste.

No one ever went against it. Probably because it's a small town, so only essential services, like cops and hospitals, work at night.

But one night I was playing in my computer when the battery died. I connected the charger and turn it on, when I hear the clock striking midnight. I was going to press the button to turn it off when a message appear on the screen.

"Congratulations, you passed level one: escape reality. Go outside to unlock level two. Good luck."

A loud siren went off all the lights in the streets lit on. Another message was written on the sky.

"Level two: escape town."
