I talked with my new friends all through lunch. My other classes flew by, and then suddenly I was on the second to last period of the day. I had a study hall, then I had music. So far I had only had a couple classes that were actually fun.

As I walked into my class, I scanned the room for someone I might have met in another class. Then I saw Nico di Angelo sitting in the back of the room.

"Hey." I said as I put my stuff down in the desk next to him. He looked at me but didn't say anything. "Ok, just ignore me." I mumbled. "I'm not ignoring you. I'm waiting for you to say something else." He said. "Okay." I said. I pulled some math homework out of my backpack. "What are you working on?" Nico said, looking over my shoulder at my work. "Homework." I said. "Are you actually talking to me?" I asked him jokingly. He rolled his eyes and went back to his work. "I'm just trying to make friends, jeez." I said. "Can you shut up?" He snapped. "Kay." I said quietly.

"So how did you like your first day?" Annabeth asked me as I sat down on the bus next to Leo. "Interesting. I hate school." I said. "Oh come on, it wasn't that bad. What other school were you able to make friends on the first day?" Jason said. I shrugged. "I made this one cool friend when I moved to Austin from El Paso." I mumbled. Leo whacked my arm. Hazel let out a small laugh and Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Have you never lived anywhere but Texas?" Nico asked. I could hear the annoyance in his voice, he was probably still angry from earlier. "Well, I do live in New York." Nico rolled his eyes. "No shit." He said.

"Will! How was school?" My mom screamed as soon as I walked through the door. "It was bleh." I said. "It couldn't of been that bad." She said, but she looked doubtful. "My teachers didn't like me, and there are some really rude people." I started, "But I made some really cool friends. Leo, he thinks he's funny. I sat with him on the bus today, he's my age. There's Nico, he is a creep. Not in a bad way. He's a year younger than me. Jason and Piper are a year older than me, and they are really funny. Frank is also my age, I have a lot of classes with him. Hazel should be an eighth grader, but she is really smart. Percy and Annabeth are two years older than me, and they are really nice." I just told mom about everyone of my new friends. I regret that, she is going to be all annoying now. "Well, I'm glad you've made some friends so quickly. Dinner will be in three hours." My mom said. I nodded and went upstairs to my bedroom. I pulled out some homework and got busy.

I walked down the stairs as soon as I smelled the pizza. I had finished homework, I unpacked a bit, and talked to some friends from Texas. "I got a pepperoni." My mom said as she set in on our counter. I grabbed a paper plate and loaded up a few slices. I went back to my room to set up stuff and unpack. I looked at a text message, it was from Annabeth, she texted me the link to the school website. I pulled it up and started looking through the different events and activities. Gods, I hate school.
