This is what happened after Vecna
You sit on your bed in silence and gaze over to a box of Eddie's things on your bedroom floor. The box was full of stuff from what was found at Eddie's trailer after Vecna. You hesitate to look through it. After a couple minutes of contemplating, you get the courage to sit on the floor and look through some of his things.
You take out one of his t-shirts from the box, it was obviously one of his favorite bands, Metalica. You smile at it as you unfold the piece of clothing. You inhale the deep scent coming from the shirt, it still smelled like Eddie.
Some other things that were in there were a couple of guitar picks, the Lord of the Rings books, and a mixtape of his favorite songs. But what caught your eyes were some pictures hiding under the books. You decide to take a look at what they were.
The first picture was of the Hellfire Club, you and Eddie were secretly holding hands in it, this made you laugh. The second picture of you two on what looked like your first date, Eddie was flipping off the camera but he was smiling, and you were laughing. The third picture was you, Eddie, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas all playing DND in Mike's basement. Eddie had his hands covering his face, with you on his lap smiling and doing some devil horns on his head with your hands. Mike looked grumpy, Lucas was smiling, and Dustin was laughing while taking the selfie.
All of these photos brought tears to your eyes as you were laughing at them, but also remembering what it was like when the world was normal. You set everything back into the box besides the photos. You decided to tape the photos on your wall. You looked at Eddie's face again, letting out soft sobs. You looked so happy with him, and you were. He looked happy too but he didn't really like getting his pictures taken.
You both loved each other so much, and you were glad Eddie got to say I love you to you one more time. Although, you hated thinking about that moment. You were so happy that you met him. All that matters is that Eddie loved you and you loved him, and you still have memories you made together that you replay in your mind.
You taped up all of the pictures smiling at them before dropping to your knees. You silently cried in your room mumbling,
"Oh Eddie, why didn't you run,"
