~I was at uni really early, my first course had been cancelled and guess who didn't check her emails? Yep that was me, I was the only one who wasn't aware of the cancelled course and thus came at the first period.

Wonderful.

Anyway, I was now wandering around in the corridors of that bloody school, I had like 40 minutes to wait before the beginning of Downey's class and I had been walking for a good 15 minutes already. Honestly, I was growing tired of it so I headed to corridor M, hoping that Downey's room would be open and that I could wait in there for the time to pass. If not, I'd probably just sit on the ground, it was just way too early to walk for a whole hour, let alone stand still.

I had my earphones and my head bowed down to look at my phone, I didn't really need to look out for people as there were no one in sight, and I knew the uni by heart, I didn't even need to watch my steps anymore, navigating through the corridors was an automatism at this point. Or so I thought, because as soon as I got out of the stairs I bumped into something. No not something, someone. I looked up, half wanting to apologise and half wanting to curse the person out for not watching their steps. However, as I looked up and registered who was in front of me, my words died in my throat.

There he was, standing right in front of me, his body only mere inches from me, Mr always late, here, almost an hour early and I just ran into him. A little voice in my head was silently thanking god that he, for once, didn't have a cup of coffee in his hands.

He pulled me out of my thoughts by putting his hand on my shoulder "Sorry... I was lost in thoughts and I wasn't looking where I was goin- Ivy ??" he seemed as shocked as I was and it pulled a soft laugh from my lips "I wasn't looking where I was going either it's okay"

He smiled softly and seemed to realise he still had his hand on my shoulder because he glanced at it and retracted his hand quickly, just as if the contact burnt him. He then spoke a soft apology which I brushed away by saying it was okay.

He quickly frowned "Why are you here ?" He checked his phone "The class won't start until at least 40 minutes...". I nodded "Oh yeah, believe me I know that, I just got here early because I didn't check my emails and thus wasn't aware that my first period got cancelled... I was actually going to your class right now, knowing you wouldn't be there. I hoped the janitor left the door open so I could wait there. Walking around gets boring after 20 minutes" I scoffed and looked up at him "But why are YOU here ? You usually tend to arrive... well um... late ? "

He laughed a bit and nodded "Right, well I had work to do and I decided to come early as it's calmer on the mornings here" he looked at me and smiles "Could use the company if you still want to break into my room" he teased and I scoffed "Wasn't gonna break into it, but yeah I take your offer."

He nodded curtly "Very well" he made a move to let me go first and we got to the room together, him settling on his desk and I on the front row. I ignored the chair in favour of sitting on the table and got my phone out again to check my social media and he almost instantly settled on working. We fell into a comfortable silence and remained like that, just minding our business for a good while.

But after a moment, I had checked all my media, and the device I was holding in my hands was getting far less interesting than the teacher that was sitting right in front of me. I eventually gave into the temptation and looked up to look at him, to check him out. He was pretty focused on his work which apparently was some marking, and he seemed completely oblivious to my gaze on him.
