—- Hiya! New chapter that I loved to write. I hope you'll like it, and don't hesitate to drop comments! It's always a pleasure to get your thoughts while you read !! —--
My next problem in mind was my last course of the day which was once again, a period with Mrs Allen and I nearly groaned as I made my way there with Harper following close behind. Ten minutes passed after the supposedly starting hour and we were all getting a bit twitchy, waiting for the not so liked teacher. The rule was simple: if we had no news from the teacher 15 minutes after the time at which the course was supposed to start, we could leave without notice.
14 minutes in, all of our phones dinged in unisson, an email notification showing on our screen. 'I'm gonna run late, I expect you to start working on our project while waiting for me'
Scoffs and groans could be massively heard throughout the corridor as the feeling was shared, we truly hated the woman. Then, another sort of complaint emerged when someone tried the door to the classroom and realised it was effectively locked. "Does she really expect us to get our computer out and start working while sitting on the ground?!?" someone said and I scoffed "Yeah she can dream".
I sat yes, but in no way was I gonna start working on whatever the project was, she already didn't like me and the year was coming to an end anyway, so really there was no point acting sweet right now. Without much surprise, Harper followed me and we just chatted while waiting for the teacher who arrived a bit less than thirty minutes later.
Being 45 minutes late to a 1 hour class, she still had the audacity to rush us when she got to us because 'we wouldn't have time to work properly'. I really didn't know if I wanted to cry or to laugh. Or maybe just hit her. Probably the latter.
I think the worst part was that the session was absolutely useless, she literally just made us come to her desk one by one, to talk about our project for the future, and to give us some (unwanted) advice.
The little voice in my head quietly whispered that it was exactly what Downey was also doing lately, but strangely that didn't disturb me.
When it was my turn, I was vehement during the whole exchange, I knew it, cold and short answers only. It wasn't my usual demeanour but this woman just managed to get the worse out of me, I couldn't refrain from it.
I didn't even wait for her to dismiss us before actually leaving the room, because if it was her resort to arrive late, it certainly wasn't mine to stay longer just to compensate for her own mistakes.
"What a cunt" I exclaimed as soon as we were out and Harper laughed "Couldn't have said it better" She answered and I laughed too. It was typical of her to just agree when I cursed, she almost never cursed herself, but I'm still pretty sure she likes that I do. It always gives her the possibility to agree without actually talking badly.
"Mhm... also, I think we're on the same page on that point but we do agree that we're not going to the basic classes anymore aye ?" I said as we walked together
Indeed, now that the main finals had passed and that the grades from the different subjects would be wrapped today, we didn't really have to go to our classes anymore.
She nodded "Yeah no definitely, I'm only gonna keep going to my speciality classes and maybe history sometimes, because we never do anything in his class anyway"
I actually agreed with her, "Same, anyway it wasn't as if I was gonna skip Downey's class, I love English too much" I said dramatically and she grinned "Mhm English... right".
