—- Hi! Yes I know I'm late on the dates I had announced, sorry... The writing was a bit longer than I thought but here it is! Let me know what you think ;) —-

The next couple of days passed in a blurr. In only a few hours I had lost two of my safe places and honestly I went through some many emotions in so little time that I was numb.

The time passed horribly slowly, but also really fast. I was utterly unable to focus on anything, but doing nothing was impossibly worse, so I did what I always did: bury myself under a pile of work.

Uni was over, and I had finished my presentation for the final exam, at least the english one, so I didn't have any ongoing work per say, but I decided that maybe, doing a recap of the events that took place this year could be good.

I did my research on how to properly present the file so it would look professional and as soon as I got the important criterias, I started working on it. This took me a good while, but after hours of hard work, I had gotten to the point where I had a solid file with seven documents, quizzes and their corrections in it. I was proud of it and at least, that was something I could perhaps show to Downey.

I had lost track of time, and soon enough, the day of the last event with Downey came so I made my way to uni once again, on time, despite the early alarm that clearly pissed me off.

I rang and then walked in when the receptionist opened. The atmosphere was completely different than usual, indeed, the corridors were empty and only the remaining workers could be heard. It was pretty odd, roaming inside that building that usually was buzzing with chatter and ambient noises without seeing or walking into anybody.

Nonetheless, I didn't dwell on the odd feeling and directly made my way to the English department so I wouldn't waste my earlyness. There, I was greeted by an open door, through which I could see people inside. But more importantly, I was greeted by him.

His face lightened up as soon as he spotted me and he walked toward me "Hey! Follow me, I'll present you" he said and led me to the opened room. I followed him, glad to not have to walk in alone and was met by Mr Gibson, Mrs Crowley and a few students that also came to help.

Downey stayed in the threshold and smiled "So this is Ivy she's..." he stopped and swiped the room with his eyes probably realising that one, I already knew most of the people, and two, he didn't present the other students like that. He cleared his throat. "Well... she's also here to help."

I chuckled at that and this brought his attention back to me. "You stay there while they explain how everything is gonna work out and then you come to the other room?" he said and scratched the back of his head "Well... if you want to" he said sheepishly and I only nodded, to show him I agreed. Then and only then, he left with a smile.

The situation inside the room was kind of unsettling, because there I was, at uni, after it closed, surrounded by teachers that I wasn't even supposed to ever see again. Unsettling yes, but also funny because the teachers I had been confronted with during the last few years, were now talking to me as if we were colleagues and as much as I was used to it with Downey, it wasn't the same with them.

The instructions were pretty similar to the ones of the events from a couple months ago, so I picked it up rather fast and I was fully ready to work before the class arrived. In the meantime, I had of course asked after Robert and they told me he was currently making the other class visit the uni and that I could join him if I wanted.

I knew he had asked me to and that it could be an opportunity, but looking at the class in front of me, I knew my place was there. I could always find a moment to talk to Downey later, but I didn't know if I would have the opportunity to share my passion to young peers anytime soon.
