I stand on the chair once again

How I managed to be sent to the head of houses office and kiss with a stranger within 24 hours of joining Ashford Boarding Academy, I don't know. But I did.

The shower curtain was wiped from in front of us and a shocked Luke stood there with his jaw hanging open and his arms crossed.
I slowly pulled away from Jake and grinned. We must have looked a right state with pen smeared all over our faces and clothes.

Luke's glare landed on me "damn it Eden, you idiot." I replied with a questioning stare. "What the heck you even doing here, Luke." He glared at Jake and growled "c'mon Jake, we're going."
He grabbed his wrist and yanked him out the bath.

"Dude, get off me," Jake protested and pulled himself from Luke's grip. Luke stormed out my dorm leaving me and Jake standing awkwardly in my room.

"I should probably go explain to Luke." I nodded and smiled at him. "And I'm shattered" he grinned at me and pulled me into an embrace, wrapping his large arms around my small waist. He kissed my forehead and whispered "see you around, yeah."

A high pitched scream came from the bathroom as the morning sun shone bright on my pen smeared face. Eva stormed out and threw a pink handbag in my face screaming "EDEN TAYLOR" a mascara brush hit my left eye, "HOW COULD YOU" a Justin Bieber mirror hit the wall centimetres from my head, "I HATE YOU" the TV remote landed on my lap. She stormed out.

My first breakfast at Ashford Boarding Academy wasn't quite how I had imagined it. At least 30 small round tables sat in the cafeteria, a large hatch stood in the front wall with bowls and plates stacked at one side and loads of boxes of cereal. 10 loaves of sliced bread lay on the side next to a huge toaster.

I poured myself a bowl of coca-pops and looked for a place to sit. On the table next to me was a group of girls and boys huddled together with textbooks and novels piled on the table, geeks. Behind them sat a group of muscular boys in Ashford baseball shirts chanting at Callum as he downed a whole glass of milk.
I searched the room and my eyes landed on Eva's table, she scowled at me and continued with her conversation with a group of mini skirt, orange faced girls.

A hand landed on my shoulder and I spun around, Abi stood behind me with her ringlet brown hair pulled into a high ponytail and a tray in her hands."You wanna sit with us?" I nodded and followed her to a table already full with girls. We grabbed two chairs and squeezed in, "guys this is Eden, she's new." She grinned at me and nodded for me to say something, "yeah, I'm Eden, and before you say anything, yes I'm the girl who stood on her chair and demanded the wifi password." The group giggled. A pretty girl with blonde straight hair and blue eyes, grinned at me and spoke "I'm Esme, unlucky, your sharing a dorm with Eva." She wore large glasses and had her blazer wrapped around herself, clearly self-conscious of her body .I nodded at her "it's not that bad," my hand immediately shot to my left eye where a nice bruise would form shortly.
The person next to me's hand poked above my eye. She had long wavy ginger hair and turquoise eyes which looked at me with kindness and concern. "You okay..." I nodded "yeah, Eva just chucked a mascara brush at me that's all."

They laughed and introduced themselves, "I'm Lilly," the girl next to me, who just poked my eye, said, "and I LOVE one direction" "SAME" we squealed together.

A tall, over made up but pretty girl with short strawberry blonde hair wearing an Ashford Academy shirt with the top bottom undone announced, "I'm Immie, I love your hair, is it naturally wavy or is it curled, can I borrow your curling tongs." She grinned, I could already tell we'd be great friends.

"I'm Charlie," a solidly built girl made known followed by a soft hiss, I leaped backwards and jumped onto my chair screaming "SNAKE" heads spun round and stared at the scene which unfolded in front of their eyes. Abi smiled at me and whispered "you can get down now," I trembled with fear.

I heard a chair scraping from the other side of the cafeteria and Jake stood up, he strolled over to me with his hands lazily stuck in his pockets.

Esme and Abi gasped and Immie ran over to him "hey Jake, your looking beau-ti-ful today." He slowly nodded in slight disgust and turned to me.

He held out one hand and I cautiously took it and stepped off the chair. He whispered in my ear "meet me in the library at 11." I sat down and everybody went back to their conversations as Jake strolled out the cafeteria.

"The hottest guy in the school just acknowledged you !!" Abi muttered to me as I grinned away to myself. Immie jumped at me, "do you think he likes me!! Did you see the way he looked at me!!" I nodded and gave her an understanding look "I'm sure he's head over heels in love with you!!" She squealed and ran off to a girl with fluffy blonde hair squeaking away to her.

After I eventually found the library, I strolled in to find him sitting on a large beanbag with small glasses on, holding a book.
He grinned as he saw me and patted the place next to him. I plonked myself down next to him, he turned to me and smiled. "You seen the pool before?" I gasped and remarked "there's a pool!!" He nodded and jumped to his feet, leaving his glasses on the table. " you look cute with glasses," he laughed a hearty laugh and pulled me to my feet.

We left the library to visit the pool hand in hand.
