Great first impressions

A new place means a new start, right.

For a overweight person, Miss Titely practically ran up the narrow staircase.
"Follow the staircase up to the 3rd floor, then turn left up corridor 7, up staircase 9 and your room is dorm 92. See you at dinner" and with that she marched back down the stairs.

I continued up the staircase till I reach a wooden door with the number 7 on. Perfect, I grinned and pushed the door open. A wide corridor opened out in front of me with dorms 25-35. Then up another staircase and another. A small tatty window lay against the cold stone wall. I placed my suitcase flat on the ground and gradually stood up on it.

The view was breath taking. Hills stretched across the scenery for as far as the eye could see, flowers littered fields like specks of paint and birds danced around the sky as if it were a stage.

The suitcase wobbled.
My foot slipped.
I let out a scream.

I lay on top of my suitcase in a heap, I could feel blood seeping into my white Hollister jeans. Perfect.

Suddenly footsteps echoed around the staircase. I rolled on to my side, behind my suitcase and hoped my legs were not too noticeable.

"Yeah, meet you at the field Callum, just gotta get my kit."
It was a guy.
I held my breath.

Two bare legs walked past wearing white shorts and grey trainers. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"Um, are you ok"

Damn it. So as you can imagine I said something really mature.

"Yeah I'm fine I'm actually just examining this wall"

I glanced up to see if he had fallen for my bluff. I found a blond scruffy haired boy with mesmerising blue eyes looking down at me. His hair hung loose down to his eyebrows and he wore a cheeky grin.

"Right ok, well I dunno if your friend the wall mentioned to you but your knee seems to be bleeding."

I blushed at his joke, not sure whether to cry or laugh.

"Oh yeah I kinda, um"

He rolled the suitcase from in front of me.

"Let me guess, your giving this wall an examination but it whacked you in the knee"

I slowly sat up as he came over to me and sat next to me on the stairs.

"Something like that"

"Do you happen to be looking for anything particular, or are you cool"

"Yeah I'm looking for room 92"

The blond guy helped me up and picked up my suitcase.

"Well, currently your in Block C and on staircase 14"

"Great" I mumbled.

"But don't worry my girlfriend Eva lives in dorm 92 and she's sweet so you'll be good."

"Yay" I sigh unenthusiastically.

"I'm Luke by the way"

"Eden"

After directing me to my dorm we both went our separate directions. I finally arrived at room 92 and knocked timidly at the door.

I slowly opened the door to find a tall, dark haired boy wearing a loose white shirt and tie intertwined with a girl about my size with dead straight blond hair, wearing a blue blazer and very short skirt.

I averted my eyes and looked around my new home. Two beds lay in line against the far wall. Huge Justin Bieber posters were stuck above  both beds, a window lay neatly inline however pink curtains folded away the view. A door stood at the other side of the room which I assumed was the bathroom.

I cleared my throat which startled the lover pair. The girl whipped her head around the guy and peered over at me. She looked me up and down and smirked at my jeans.

"Hey, I didn't know red kneed jeans were in style"

"It's blood, so do you think you guys could kinda go make out somewhere else as I kind of need to sort it out, thanks"

Taken back by my confidence the girl let go of her lover and walked over to me.

"I'm Eva, I guess your Eden"

Before I could reply the guy walked over and shook my hand.

"And I'm Callum, if anyone asks you didn't see me" and with that he strolled out.

Wait, my brain started working
She's Luke's girlfriend.

That wasn't Luke.

I gulped, suddenly remembering my similar experience.
