"And what are we meant to do if they do try a mass killing?" asked Jay.

"We take 'em down. Simple." I answered, yawning. My hands still felt like jelly, but I didn't feel most pain.

"Class is dismissed." said the teacher as the bell rang.

Students scurried out of the classroom, and I went towards Minju and Hyemi. She then pulled Jake and Jay away from us, leaving us alone. I smiled at Minju widely, but her smile slowly turned into a frown. Before she could do anything, I ran off with the boys.

"Quick, before she tries to catch up with us," I said, running slowly alongside them. They nodded and after a minute or two, we lost them. I sat down on a bench next to Jay and sighed. When was this ever going to stop? When could we properly meet?

"Well, have we found any suspects?" asked Jake in a low tone, careful of the surrounding students that may overhear.

"Yeah. XG mafia" replied Jay.

"Are you dumb? I know it's XG. I meant individually, as in students."

"Why do you suspect students?" I asked.

"Cause, the people our age were the ones fighting. We heard them talk about it last night through the hacked mics, remember?" said Jake. "Jungwon hacked them."

I gasped, "I remember," the memory dawning back on me.

"We should be careful, his school Byeongham could find out about him!"

"He's not a child no more, Junhyeon! He can handle himself very well!"

"What will you do if you lose him, sir? Then what?"

After a moment of silence, he replied with, "We've lost tons during our fights. Losing one more is fine with me."

"He's a child, sir, younger than us all. And in your view, one of our most valuable."

"Well, it would be sad if we lost him, wouldn't it?"

We had to keep our eyes peeled. Anyone in our school could be part of XG, no matter their grade or gender. But our target was male, for sure. Someone that was strong, brave, hateful towards me and my friends...

As I continued to rant about how yesterday went with Sunghoon and me to Hyemi, she looked at me awestruck.

"What?" I asked.

"Girl, seriously? You are head over heels for the guy! What's there to even simp over?" she said, eyeing my lock screen continuously.

"I could go on and on for-" I said, but got caught off-guard as Jake clasped his hands hard on Hyemi's shoulders, making her yelp loudly. Loud enough to make the whole school go quiet. Everyone turned to look towards us, side-eyes coming from every direction.

Soon the busy atmosphere came again, and Hyemi began to tackle Jake, Jay helping her. Sunghoon stepped beside me, staring at me up and down. I frowned at him, but he just smiled at me, wrapping a hand around my arm and pulling me away to an empty classroom.

"You alright? I saw you dazing off in class," he asked.

"To be honest, you should be more worried about yourself," I replied, glancing at his hands and then taking them in mine.

As I examined them closer, not letting him tug them away, I noticed that they were getting worse. Not just bruises, but splinters, much more redness, and it looked way too painful. Trusting my instinct, I pressed down on one of his bruises.

He grunted in pain, slapping my hands away. I stood there, dumbfounded, and he looked at me with wide eyes. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!"

"It's fine. You know if you did that to me, I would have the same reaction." I said, having both of us laugh.

He then took my hands into his, wrapping them around his neck slowly. I looked at him, his eyes focused on me. It was as if everything was frozen, him being the only thing alive at that moment. I leaned into his touch, and his embrace filled me with joy.

Our lips connected and we kissed deeply, forgetting where we were and everything around us. We hung on tightly to each other, Sunghoon pushing me onto a wall. From there we had more privacy, meaning...more freedom.

We pulled apart after a hot minute, the bell ringing. Students started to rush towards to stairs, but the sight of us had them stop midway. Girls were giggling and glaring, boys doing the same.

Sunghoon pulled me under the stairs and asked, "You wanna go to the movies with me?"

"Which movie are we going to watch, hm?

"It's up to you, love." he replied, smirking as clicking sounds came from behind.

I peeked out and saw people taking pictures of us, phones flashing.

"Woah, Sunghoon! You're dating her!?"
"Wahh, noonas are going to be really mad about this."

"This is a misunderstanding, I'm not dating him. He was merely asking if I could lend him my notes." I quickly said, not wanting these people to ruin my relationship with him.

He stayed quiet, merely nodding his head to my reply. A few people looked skeptical at us, not believing what I had just said, but others shrugged and went on with their day.

I looked at Sunghoon through the corner of my eye, watching him whistle, not even caring about what had happened. I sighed and went up the stairs too, when he grabbed my waist. My eyes widened, redness spreading throughout my face.

"So~, you aren't dating me?"

Before I could answer, Hyemi came running up to me, holding something that looked like a flyer.

"Minju, look! Cheerleading tryouts!

Jake then said, "You know, if you become a cheerleader, you and Sunghoon would become a more popular couple. Basketball player and cheerleader."

I looked at Sunghoon, asking for his opinion on it with my eyes.

"I mean, cheerleaders are kinda popular among guys..."

"And Minju isn't?" retorted Hyemi.

"What I'm saying is the dances cheerleaders do are..."

I looked at him, exchanging glances with Hyemi at the same time. Hyemi rolled her eyes and then said, "Whatever, she doesn't need your permission to do something fun."

"True. Let's go!" I said, leaving the two guys standing, flabbergasted.

"Having a girlfriend is hard, mate. Especially if she's pretty." Jake patted Sunghoon's shoulder.

"Are you hitting on my girl?" said Sunghoon, outraged.

"No! I'm saying my girlfriend's pretty!"

"Oh, so Minju isn't pretty?"

"Bro, just shush."

"You shush. Aren't you the one who takes more than three times just for a simple aim at someone's head?" replied Sunghoon, walking away from the poor guy.

"The guy was running, though..." said Jake, pouting then running to catch up with his friend.
