The music began playing, and several girls lined up with their groups to showcase their talents to become part of the school's cheerleading team. The song choice was 'Hollaback Girl' by Gwen Stefani, one of my favourite songs.
A mentor stood at the front of the field, helping the girls with the dance moves, spins, cartwheels, and other steps. In my group were Hyemi, Dayeon, and other girls I hadn't met until now. Their names were Yujin, Nari, and Chanmi.
They were nice, having a choreography already planned out for us. The dance was fun, but what would Sunghoon think of it? If he were to see it, he would be mad. It didn't really matter for now, since cheerleading was something I wanted to do for a long time.
Yujin had made me the center of the group, otherwise known as a flyer. I kind of practice at home for these things, but never shared them with anyone other than Hyemi since I would've been embarrassed.
After a little bit of practicing and changing our clothes, we were up now.
Lana walked over to me and said, "Wow. You, a cheerleader? Please, there's no way."
"Watch and learn, Miss Jealous," I replied, patting her shoulder and walking to the field.

It was Jake's idea. It wasn't me, it was him. He was the one who brought me here to watch them. We had both snuck into the school field to watch our girls perform. I didn't want to, because I knew most of the boys sitting on the sidelines were there for Minju.
I hated the feeling, yet had to accept it. Besides, if I were switched with Minju, girls would be here instead of boys. Glaring at Jake for the 10th time since he brought me here, the music finally began to play.
She was at the center, goddammit. Whyyy?
But soon enough my negative thoughts began to vanish, as Minju had shifted everyone's attention onto her. Who knew she would be this good at dancing?
I think I was blatantly staring at her for a few moments, not a single thought entering my mind, before realizing there were boys on the team!?!?!
I looked at Jake, the same expression on his face as mine. I could hear his silent cursing, I couldn't blame him. Those boys were touching Minju's body, something I should only be able to do. They lifted her up, helped her do cartwheels in the air, and so much more.
They had finished, the horror finally ending. They got their evaluation: a 20. I immediately got up from my seat to dash back to the building, but Jake pulled my hand. His mouth was wide open as he pointed to one of the males near Minju.
Near Minju? It had to be...
Jung Jaehyun
He seemed to be praising Minju for everything she had done, but she looked cut out of it. Pushing his face out of her way, she started to walk towards the building. I scurried down to catch up with her, ignoring the weird whistles coming from the boys.
She caught my eyes and hugged me, draping her arms around my shoulders. I smiled, but soon enough it faded as I looked more closely at the cheerleaders' outfit. Everything was fit, the shirt, the skirt. The skirt was revealing and short, but she had safety shorts on.
The shirt fit around her torso perfectly, like those tight tops that outlined bodies.
"Hey, my eyes are up here," said Minju, lifting my jaw to her face.
I blushed quickly, realizing what she had seen me doing. More like what I was looking at.
It seemed that other boys were looking at her too, nasty shit coming from their donkey-shaped mouths.
"Yo, look at her thighs! They're so white."
"God damn, her body's perfect."
"I wish she would just reject me so I can move on already.""Yah, who's that guy hugging her?"
As a guy said, I turned Minju around, wrapping an arm around her waist, and dragged Minju to the changing room. There, she showed me where her stuff was. Surprisingly, the place was empty.
"Ack!"
I turned to see Minju holding her knee. It was bleeding, a cut seared through her skin.
"Wait, let me help."
I got down on one knee, pulling the first aid kit from above her. I pulled her leg to me, wrapping a band-aid around her knee. Her skin was so soft...Eishhh!
I lifted my gaze slowly, Minju already looking at me with a pink face. I doubt it was from that try-out.
I smirked, leaning in closer to her flushed face. As I caressed her jaw, I leaned closer, my attention on her lips when...
"Ew! There's a boy in the girls changing room!" squealed a girl from outside. Others squealed as well, and I didn't know if it was because of what they saw, what I was, or who I was. Either way, I bonked my head on a locker, yelled sorry and then ran out of the room.
Shit, Minju's gonna kill me for doing that in front of those girls.
How long were they standing there for? Did they see everything? Did I look boyfriend material while doing it?
We watched as Sunghoon leaned closer and closer toward Minju's face, Yujin's grip on my hand tightening as she squealed in her place.
"Dear god, am I watching a K-drama in real life?"
"Shhh, don't be so loud!" I said, my insides twirling as I spoke because of what I was witnessing.
Nari, not being able to hold it any longer, then said, "Ew! There's a boy in the girls changing room!"
