I was laying on my bed with my eyes closed, not sleeping, just trying to clear my head when I heard the deep voice of my father telling me - no, commanding me to go downstairs. Today was the day I returned to Hogwarts for my Sixth year, I don't know how to feel about it yet.

"I'm in for a hard year" I thought to myself.

"Delilah if you're not down here this instant, I will force you down!" My fathers voice boomed from the stairs. I stood up as carefully as I could, making sure to not make sudden movements. My whole body ached, I could see the scars and the few bruises that littered my body on the mirror across my room. I made sure to put on a jumper before hurrying downstairs.

My Father, Thomas Hades Pierce, stood at the bottom of the stairs. He stood with perfect posture, black dress robes fitting perfectly, and looking down on me with his chin raised and looking over his nose like I was some random person not worthy of his attention.

I'm your daughter asshole.

I kept my eyes on the floor "I apologize for taking so long, father". He didn't reply, just simply held out his arm so we could apparate to King's cross station.

I hated apparating, always have and always will. It's like your body is being stretched, shrinked, and pulled at the same time, and when you finally get to the destination, everything in your body feels out of place, let's not forget the nausea. We arrive at the station and go through the wall to the platform, everyone that is walking by cowers away from my father.

My father was a scary man, standing at 6'4, black hair that is closely shaved at the sides while the top is covered by the newsboy hat he always wears, he a had sharp and prominent face structure, and these bright blue eyes that had the ability to make people freeze and tremble in fear if they looked at them for too long, you could see the malice in them. The hat is casting a shadow over the upper half of his face, making him look even scarier.

How the hell did he manage to win my Mamá over? I know he's not ugly at all but come on Mamá, the personality must've been a deal breaker.

My father always had a stoic face on, no one could fucking know what he was thinking. I don't think I've seen him smile once in my life. But right now I could see a slight curl on his lip showing how disgusted he is due to all the muggle-born families surrounding us.

I turn to see what he's seeing and I can't see why he should ever feel disgusted, the muggle family infant of us is hugging the girl who I supposed is coming to Hogwarts. The mom is crying into the hug, you can see she doesn't want to let go. The father is watching them with a fond smile on his face.

I look at them, the longing feeling heavy on my chest.

Then I'm brought back to reality when my Father turns to me, "I want you on your best behavior, if I find out you're bringing shame to our name you won't like the consequences, do you understand?" I nodded. He gripped my shoulder harshly, I had a bruise there. "Do. You. Understand?" His voice was cold, not an ounce of affection laced his words.

"Yes, father" I winced. He nodded at me and apparated back to the house.

Or maybe he went back to whatever ring of hell he crawled out of.

I just need a good ol' smoke, some trusty alcohol, and some music to forget for a little while all the fucked up shit happening in my life.

I began my way to the train when I heard my name being called, when I turned I saw my best friend, Regulus black, walking towards me. I smiled and waved at him.

Maybe this year won't be so bad
