It's been two long torturous days filled with pity glances from the professors and puzzled and concerned glances from Remus. James didn't talk to me after that day at the hospital wing, only shooting me a smile when he passed me in the hall. He did not have a clue of how Kay relates to me.

It was kinda refreshing, not receiving pity from someone. No one knew kay and I were related except for the Slytherins, they didn't necessarily act differently, just stared at me less harshly when they passed me.

Regulus hasn't come out of his room, I tried talking to him but he won't open his door. I'm worried about him. I want to be there for him, this wasn't how it was supposed to be. It's my fault he found out from someone else, but I just wasn't ready yet.

Dumbledore had no right to announce it to the entire school without telling me first. So what I missed our meeting? he could've waited a day more.

I was walking to my transfigurations class when a hand pulled me to the side of the corridor. Tripping over my feet I stumble into the person and turn to look at them. Barty stands there with a crestfallen expression on his face.

"Oh- Barty, Hey" I greet cautiously.

He looks at me for a few seconds before before sighing and bringing me into his arms, I gladly return his hug and hold him tight. His body is bent in an awkward position due to our height difference and he had his face buried in the crook of my neck.

Suddenly I felt something dampening my neck and Barty's body started to shake with silent sobs. His arms tightened around me as he whispered "you're here" over and over again. I felt my throat close up with emotions but no tears left my eyes.

I think I've cried so much, that my body just refuses to let me cry again. I still feel that crushing feeling on my chest, and my throat close up, the shortness of breath. I just can't let go, so I carry it with me and bottle it up.

Barty released me and brought a hand up to wipe his eyes. "Did you know?"

"Yea" my voice was merely a whisper.

Barty nodded slowly. "Were you there?" he asked, his voice like a sad symphony going right to my heart.

I tried to speak but I couldn't so I settled for a small nod. He closed his eyes and laid his back on the wall with his head thrown back and eyes closed.

After a few minutes he looks back at me. "Are you alright?"

"Physically?" I asked.

"Physically, emotionally, mentally- Are you?"
