(Luke's POV)
"Where's Lilah?" I asked as I walked out of Michael's room. "She took my car and left Mate, I have no idea where she went." Michael told me. Calum and Mike just sat and watched me pace the living room as I wracked my brain as to where my Lilah could be. "Did Ashton go with her?" I asked. "She choose you Luke. So no, he didn't." Calum said blatantly. Of course he didn't. Li loved me, and I knew that. Why would I ask?
And suddenly it hit me, I knew exactly where she was. Our place. The stream. "I know where she is!" I exclaimed. I ran to my car as fast as my legs would allow. And rushed to start the engine. I knew where my girl was, and I was going to get her. I drove to that tiny little grove, in community where my parents had lived my whole life and raced to the trees. There was a hidden stream, where the tree was. Her tree. Where she always hid herself away from the world.
The moment I saw her, I felt as if we were eight years old again and meeting for the first time. Ultimately, I felt intimidated again, just as I had all those years ago. She was still the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen. Beautiful brown, long hair. Always curled, naturally of course. And the most gorgeous blue eyes that God had blessed anyone with in the history of the world. The girl I loved, and was lucky enough to have love me back was sitting right there and I strangely I felt like I wanted to run, and never be seen again because I knew I could never be what she deserved. Even if she was all I ever wanted.
"Lukey?" She called to my softly, and my heart melted. Her voice was saturated with tears, sadness and heartbreak. But there was also a hint of happiness. "Yeah Li?" I asked, hoping my voice wouldn't crack. "Can you come sit with me for awhile? I feel really alone and I don't want to be alone anymore." She whimpered. "You've never been alone baby, I've always been right here." I told her and sat down with her. I just held her. And she sobbed.
"Does Ashton hate me?" She asked softly, pleasing people was all she ever wanted to do. She had this need to please people all the time and it was infuriating. Everyone should want to please her. She's a damn Angel. "He'd be crazy to hate you love. He doesn't hate you." I said gently stroking her hair and pushing the tear drenched mess out of her face. "He knows I love you, do you know I love you?" She asked suddenly, widely aware of the current situation. "I do. Do you know that I love you?" I asked her. "You do?" She clarified. "Always have, always will." I told her. And I placed a light kiss in the center of her forehead. She held me tighter. And I never wanted to let go.
