"Chad, please, don't do this. Please."

I plead. Only hoping it would help. "Why shouldn't I?" He challenged. "I honestly have no answer to that." I admitted. Turning my head slowly. And awaiting what comes next. Leaving fate to itself.

All of the sudden there's a loud noise and I'm in shock.

"Put the fucking gun down Chad! Don't do anything stupid!" Luke yells from the doorway. I look at him with desperation, only imagining what I look like. A man twice my size beat the hell out of me. I never even saw it coming.

"Leave it alone pretty boy, this doesn't concern you." Chad sneered, turning his attention back to me. He cocked the gun and pressed it to my forehead. I couldn't help the scared whine that escaped my lips. Which only caused Chad to kick me yet again in my already destroyed abdomen.

That's when Luke really lost his shit, and Chad's the one who was caught off guard this time. Luke jumped on his back and threw him against the wall. "Li run!" He yelled to me, but I wasn't able to move. My body hurt worse than ever before and I couldn't do anything to get myself out of danger.

Chad fought Luke until he was thrown against the kitchen counter and knocked unconscious. Luke ran to my side. He had a cut on the side of his face. "You're bleeding." I said attempting to lift my hand. "Lilah, you look like shit, I don't care about the small cut on my face. Let's go we need to get you out of here." Luke said picking me off the ground. It took everything I had not to cry out in pain.

"I'm sorry babygirl, I know it hurts we'll be to the hospital soon." Luke comforted me from the front seat, driving as fast as LA traffic would allow. "Fuck!" He yelled as we halted at a red light. "Luke I can't feel anything." I said quietly as all feeling in my body dissipated.

"Stay awake. Lilah don't close your eyes!" Luke yelled at me, voice thick with tears. "Everything's getting dark Luke." I told him in my daze. "At least it doesn't hurt anymore." I told him, not understanding what was actually going on. "Five more minutes honey, and we'll be with the doctors. They'll help you, you just need to..." Luke told me. But I couldn't hear the last of it. I couldn't hear, see or feel, anything. Everything just disappeared.
