Q-Is it possible for a story to carry on longer than expected?
A- Yes it is, as it has happened with this SasuSaku fic :)
{I do not own Naruto, Kishimoto does. I just own the fabulous OCs}

Sakura was speechless. She couldn't even begin to make sense of what was in front of her. It felt like she was in a dream because places like this, just didn't exist. Places that were indeed so beautiful that it would make a person believe in God. And this place was right in front of her.
There was a gigantic blue temple entrance with gold and red markings across the large wooden legs that held it. Attached to the entrance were two walls made out of blue stone on either side. The walls were not that high but tall enough to cover what lay inside from outside view. The blue walls stretched in the shape of a large circle, so large that Sakura couldn't see where the circle finished. The blue walls had small domes cut out of them like a recurring pattern, making them look like miniature caves.
The clearing that herself and Atsune were standing in was a stretched semi-circle of grass in front of the entrance, which the forest next to it helped shape. They had only just stepped out of the forest and into the grassy clearing, when Sakura became still and stood wide-eyed at the view in front of her.
"Sakura.. are you coming?" Atsune said, not bothering to wait for her as she walked towards the entrance, her long silver hair swaying gracefully in the wind. Sakura breathed out and followed.
They walked closer towards the gate and Sakura trembled with excitement. She could just make out pointed roofs of towers and grey smoke from chimneys. As they walked closer, the metal gates attached to the entrance slowly opened and Sakura could see the inside better. It was built like a village but the houses were further back.
When Sakura took her first step inside, past the metal gates and blue entrance, she was standing with pavement beneath her feet. She was standing in a circular space, baskets of flowers spread all around it and a fountain in the middle of the circle. The fountain was great and white with a carving of a mermaid on the left, an angel on the right and a warrior in the middle. And Sakura could see that further back, there was a long white bridge that took you to the settlements. The blue walls on the inside also had domes cut out of them, and inside the domes were different statues of sea creatures. It was beautiful.
There were men and women around the area, wearing blue uniforms, some crossing the long bridge, and some distracted by their own business around the circular space.
The men's blue uniform consisted of a blue jumper with silver metal around the torso and on the back, they wore baggy blue sweats with silver armour on the side and clasped around their ankles. Some wore black scarves loosely around their head like shinobi wore headbands, some covered their faces, and some didn't have a scarf at all.
The women's uniform was very similar but they wore blue dresses that flowed down to their knees. Metal armour was placed from the waist down to the ends of the dress. The top part of the dress was covered with silver chains that covered their chest, shoulders and the upper-part of their arms. The women wore the chains like a poncho, a hole shaped out of the chains to let the head through. They also had scarves just like the men, some deciding to wear it around their heads, to cover their faces, or to not have it at all.
Both men and women wore black sandals, similar to the one's she was wearing.
Sakura thought they looked amazing. There was something about the uniforms that caused something to flicker in her mind, but Sakura couldn't figure it out.
There was white box-like houses opposite each other just further up in front of her and Atsune and a white line was painted on the pavement between the two buildings. Atsune stopped just behind the line, causing Sakura to stop too, yet she still continued to peek from behind the silver-haired woman, excitement brewing in the pit of her stomach. The only thing that stopped her from going forward was Atsune... and this strange white line painted on the floor.
