Sasuke watched Sakura get into a fighting position.
"Let's see you try."
Sasuke rolled his eyes, he hated it when people got too over-confident; especially when they had no need to be.
Sasuke reached for his sword but then moved his arm back to his side, deciding he wouldn't need it. It would be a bother to carry the weapon when it wouldn't be used.
He saw Sakura glare at him, making it evident that his previous action had affected to her. Sasuke smirked slightly, glad that he didn't take out his sword.
...
Sakura put on her black gloves, moving her fingers so they would feel as one against the black material. If Sasuke thought she was this weak, then it was due to his ignorance; she'd show him. "I can't lose here. I will stop you."
She graced the tip of her left foot along the grass for support and then pushed off with the same leg, running towards Sasuke. As soon as she was close enough, Sakura pushed her fists with brute force towards the Uchiha. Sasuke dodged them all, ducking, swaying and jumping when needed. Sakura continued but Sasuke dodged every single puch. Sakura added her legs to the attack, but it was of no use.
"Shannaro!" Sakura shouted, adding more force to a punch. Sasuke grabbed her arm and moved his head to the side just in time. He then gripped her arm tighter and bent it back.
A mumbled curse word came out of Sakura's mouth due to the pain from her bent arm. Sakura heard Sasuke take out his sword with his free hand. "Don't play games with me, Sakura, I thought you were going to stop me. You're still the same as before; weak."
Sasuke then plunged the sword into Sakura's stomach. A bloodcurdling scream arose from her mouth. Sasuke removed the sword from her stomach and let go of her arm. Sakura fell to the floor, she remained still.
...
Sasuke looked at the body in front of him for a brief moment and then turned around to face the tree he had appeared from. There was a sudden poof behind him, but Sasuke didn't need to turn around to realise it was a substitution jutsu.
"Well at least I was able to make you take out your sword."
Sakura was standing on the branch Sasuke had jumped from, leaning against the trunk with her arms folded. Sasuke's jaw tightened and he sent Sakura a murderous glare while he put his sword back.
"And I wasn't playing games" said Sakura in a confident voice. Sakura jumped down from the branch.
"I've already said this, I'm not going to lose. So I should atleast be prepared, right?"
"Chidori Nagashi!" Sasuke fanned out his arms and blue sparks irradiated around Sasuke and sped towards Sakura. The chidori met Sakura and there was another poof, revealing it to be another clone.
...
Sasuke's chidori had disappeared and Sakura took that moment as a chance to get close to Sasuke. Sakura flew out into the air and dived towards Sasuke with chakra illuminating around her fist. Sasuke moved back but Sakura noticed that his eyes had widened at the impact her punches had made to the landscape. A large hole cut down into the ground, making the amount of force used evident.
As Sasuke jumped back, Sakura shouted towards him. "No time to be staring, Sasuke-kun" she shouted, using this as another opportunity. Another one of Sakura's clones appeared from underground, speeding towards Sasuke with her fist inundated with chakra. And as Sasuke was getting ready to fight off that clone, another one rose up from the ground, it's action identical to the first clone. Both clones surrounded Sasuke, and then attacked him, aiming to successfully gain a hit.
...
Sasuke was impressed. He hadn't thought Sakura was capable of planning so systematically. But even then, he dodged every attack without a single scratch and got rid of both the clones. He landed back onto the ground and his eyes were focused onto the large hole.
Sakura's strength had become incredible.
"She could even be stronger than me" Sasuke thought, his eyes moving to look at the pink-haired kunoichi in front of him. Sakura's medical ninjutsu also seemed competent.
She had definitely improved.
...
Sakura moved her hand into her weapon's pouch and took out several kunais with explosive tags attached to them. She fanned out her arms and ran towards Sasuke, aiming all the kunai towards Sasuke. She was using the kunai as a distraction because she knew Sasuke was more than capable of dodging the attack.
She pushed her arms in, at the same time, throwing her kunais. As soon as she threw them, she took out her senbon, keeping them ready in between her fingers. Sasuke's sharingan would easily see the senbon, but she needed to use everything she had.
...
The kunais fled towards Sasuke, soaring through the air like hawks. It took him a brief moment to straighten his body and for his eyes to fully adjust to the explosive tags attached to them. If Sasuke didn't have his sharingan, he wouldn't have been able to see the explosive tags due to the strength used to throw them, causing the kunai to be swifter than usual.
He flipped back before the explosion could reach him, shaking off the pain his right leg was causing him. As soon as the explosion disappeared, Sakura had disappeared too. "Behind" Sasuke shouted.
...
Sakura threw her senbon and then started to run to Sasuke. She knew he would avoid the senbon and as soon as he did, Sakura dived towards his back, her straight hands glowing with chakra. "If I can just get one hit" she thought, gritting her teeth.
...
Sasuke saw the senbon gliding towards him, with Sakura hot on their tails. He dodged the senbon a little carlessly, causing Sakura to get closer towards him with her chakra. Luckily, he had a few seconds to spare and turned around and caught Sakura's arms, making sure his gripped hands were away from her chakra.
They both fell to the floor and started to roll around, both shinobi trying to gain firm ground. Sasuke used all his strength and gripped harder, throwing Sakura around onto the grass floor.
His dark hair fell over his eyes as he looked down at the pink-haired kunoichi, and his arms pinned both of her arms to the ground.
Sasuke had gained control and was now on top of her, yet she was still moving, struggling to get out from his hold.
Sakura's chakra suddenly vanished from around her hands and her emerald gaze stared back at him. Sasuke breathed out tiredly as Sakura's woeful gaze made all the frustration and anger inside of him disappear.
He moved his hands upwards to reach Sakura's wrists, gripping them harder as the chakra had vanished.
He then moved his head down a bit, decreasing the gap between both their faces.
"I win."
