...
Everything was dark and silent. Sakura breathed in and out sluggishly as she stood in one spot, not moving at all. She didn't know where she was and the last thing she remembered was the evil that had taken over her. But it was gone now, she couldn't feel it's dark power. She only felt exhaustion and slight pain in different parts of her body.
Sakura listened to her steady breathing, the only thing that could be heard against the silence. She waited to hear something different but nothing was detected by her ears.
Sakura slowly moved her feet forward, walking deeper and deeper into the darkness, her arms stretched out in front of her. "Why is it so dark?" she thought. With each step she took, Sakura tremored. Even though the dark aura had left her, she still felt the pain it brang. Sakura's breathing started to accelerate, yet her pace started to impede. She felt weaker and her head started to throb, causing her to feel dizzy.
"Stop" came a voice. He said it quietly, but Sakura still heard the firmness in his tone. It was Sasuke. Sakura stood still, but that didn't stop her from falling forward, her eyes closing from faintness. Strong arms caught her by grabbing her around the waist. Sakura's arms hung loosely by her side, while her head fell softly on to muscular chest.
"The dark aura..." were her last words before Sakura felt her eyes close.
...
Sasuke's expression didn't waver as the kunoichi's head fell upon his chest. He held a straight face, yet inside, he felt discomfort.
"The dark aura..."
Sasuke guessed that the kunoichi was referring to the evil darkness that controlled her. His grip around the kunoichi's waist tightened as he pulled her closer, while placing one arm under her legs and scooping her up. He moved his other arm to her upper back, supporting her head.
His eyes focused to what was in front of him, his Sharingan searching for this dark aura. It was hiding. The main purpose of his genjutsu was to seperate the dark aura from Sakura. That had worked, but the evil force wasn't what it appeared to be.
Sasuke found that the dark aura was really powerful, more powerful than some of the evil forces that he had seen during previous battles. Even if it was just an aura, it should have disappeared, but it hadn't. The dark aura had a human form, that was the only explanation to why it remained stuck in his genjutsu.
Its human form was strong enough to hide itself from Sasuke, even though it was him who was controlling its environment.
Sasuke kept walking through the darkness with ease, his eyes still searching. Not one glance was given to the kunoichi he was holding. Suddenly he felt Sakura slowly move her head to sit on his shoulder, nuzzling her cheek against his neck. He stiffened and dipped his head to the side a little, enough to see the kunoichi's face clearly.
Her lips were slightly parted and there were beads of sweat on her forehead. Her cheeks were faintly pink and her closed eyes showed how long her eyelashes were. Her eyebrows were furrowed, giving her an angry expression. Sasuke mindlessly smirked at the sight before moving his eyes back to searching.
Sasuke could see traces of ash scattered all around him.. They were left from the green flames that had engulfed Sakura before, and they were the only forms of evidence that could lead Sasuke to the Dark Aura.
As Sasuke headed deeper into the emptiness of his mind's genjutsu, he spotted one trail of the ash that led deeper into the shadows and finally he knew where the Dark Aura was hiding.
Sasuke controlled the darkness to suddenly transform into black tornados around him. He watched the tornados of black mist as they turned and turned, while growing bigger and stronger.
And then the dark tornados reformed into a closed off and small room with white walls and a floor, which made it appear like they were falling into emptiness. There were seal markings on each of the four walls and on the ceiling, and in the middle of the room, a woman lay on the floor.
Her green hair was spread out from under her head and her skin was a pale brown. Black silk covered most of her body like a short strapless dress. Her eyes that were wide open were only green circles, and her arms were covered in black painted markings. A black liquid dipersed from under her. Blood. The woman was the dark aura, a monster in disguise. Sasuke smirked; he felt rather excited about fighting this monster.
Sasuke gently placed Sakura against the wall he was closest to. Her head drooped to the side, causing strands of her pink hair to fall over her eyes. Sasuke edged his hand forward and brushed them away with his fingers. They lingered near her head for a moment as Sasuke stared down at her sleeping form, but then he pulled them back while moving away.
As he moved away, the wall pulled her in. Sakura wasn't safe here as the Dark Aura was still alive, Sasuke could feel it. "After I seal the Dark Aura, this will all be finished."
Sasuke turned around, placing his attention to the Dark Aura. But its human form wasn't on the floor anymore. Sasuke lifted up his gaze and observed the view in front of him, getting into a fighting stance.
The blood still remained on the floor but the woman was now standing up, her green hair falling all over her face. Her lips were stretched out into an evil smirk, her eyes dark and sinful. The Dark Aura's stance was that of a deadly beast, her legs spread out, her arms crooked and her hands were near her face. Her lips parted to speak.
"Well, wasn't that sweet?"
