New Chapter after 2 months I think?
Sorry.
Enjoy x
(I do not own Naruto or any of its characters. I only own my OCs. Kishimoto owns Naruto and its characters; a truly great artist and storyteller.)

If she opened her eyes now, it would all bitterly end. She would have to wake up, break out of the sub-conscious state she was in and shatter the enchanting dream she was having. The colourful stage was set behind her cold blue eyes and she was both the anxious director and the amazed audience. It was almost disappointing, that one single movement would cause her to lose the ability to dream again until the next time she slept, which was many long hours away due to her mission assignment for the present day; she was now temporarily in charge of the western site of construction.
Atsune gave in and attempted to open her eyes, but could only close them due to the glimmering light pouring into her room from her large square window. She slowly opened them again, constantly blinking and adjusting to the beacon of light her room had become; her "pure white" walls weren't helping either.
She could now hear the birds singing and feel a protective warmth beside her. Atsune looked towards her window and saw that she had forgotten to close her plum curtains, which was very unlikely of her. She smiled to herself as she recalled the events of the previous night, realising that there had been no time to spare so that she could veil her room from wondering eyes. She decided that it was unlikely for anyone to witness things that occurred in the darkness of night. Atsune couldn't bring herself to care; all that mattered was the passion she felt and the urgency that came with it.
Atsune covered her naked body with the white silk covers, attempting to hold on to the warmth of the previous night, sliding off of her bed as quietly as she could. She walked to her golden vanity and gazed back at her reflection with a small smile.
Her silver hair fell messily over her left shoulder, but it still looked soft, and her white skin was glowing. She placed her gaze on to the marks that ran down her neck. They weren't marks of possession, but rather, reminders and symbols of the passion shared between two people. Leaving her reflection, Atsune looked over all the makeup on her desk, wondering if she could somehow cover the marks on her neck; if others were to see them, some would avoid her and others would bombard her with irritating questions.
And then she felt lips on her neck, kissing it softly and affectionately.
Atsune frowned; this was what she wanted to avoid. This man was always sweet when he made love to her, but for some reason, the previous night was the only night he had ever been truly passionate, and she had had the time of her life. And now he was back to his old self; sweet, needy and boring. Atsune turned around slowly, before gently placing her hand on his bare chest and separating their bodies. Her temporary but common lover looked at her with confusion in his eyes.
"Carlos... get out."

The early morning was a little cold but bright. Atsune walked silently down the rustling streets that were beginning to come to life. The villagers were opening their colourful doors and glass windows, setting up their cosy shops and vibrant stalls and were bidding farewell to family members and friends who had their own early journeys to make. The smiles of the villagers as they began their day together kept the mood warm against the cold; she couldn't help but smile along. This was a daily scene she would see during her morning journey to work, and she loved it because it always reminded her that their village had truly become a home.
In the end, it had been due to the co-operation and enthusiasm of the current villagers that had led to the village's success, and Atsune knew that the Kage was truly grateful to them for this very reason. As was she, but her reasons were her own.
