Chaeryeong's perspective:

I watched as the hard rain was pouring down from the dark sky. It's been like this for hours now, I'd be surprised if there weren't puddles everywhere. I sighed as I had waited for Lillian to return from her interview. For the first time in a while, Lillian was being interviewed about her career as a soloist, rather than just as the leader of Cubasian. I leaned my ear against the door to see if I can overhear anything, as I wasn't allowed to be there during the interview since the interviewer and a few other people in the room had seen me as a "distraction", which had pissed both Lillian and I off to a very high amount, but had decided to keep it calm.

"You mentioned you're releasing another album this year, correct?" Asked the interviewer.

"Correct." Lillian replied. I was happy to know that I could find a way to hear what was going on in there.

"What is it called, and why did it take so long?" The interviewer questioned.

"Well, it's called Rejection. It's not based off of something that had happened to me, nor does it have a story." Lillian explained. "And the reason why it took me so long was because before the album, I had only written one song with the sad-romantic theme, and that was Midnight, which had released on November 8th, 2023, so I'm not used to writing songs with that feeling. On top of that, it's also a lot of work to write the songs, compose the music, make choreography and practice choreography to make sure it's suitable for both my songs, and the songs for Cubasian. It's not an easy process."

"What do you think would make your job easier?"

"I think my job would be a lot easier if I had a balanced work schedule." I realized that the interview was being broadcasted and that Lillian was on live-tv.

"You don't already have a balanced work schedule?" The interviewer asked.

"Heavens no!" Lillian said, trying to prevent herself from doing even mild swearing. "Ever since I became part of Cubasian, I haven't had more time to myself. Heck, it even changed quite a few things between Chaeryeong and I."

"Have you ever considered dropping out of Cubasian, and if so, would you be aloud to?"

"I could drop out of Cubasian any time I want, and I've considered it a lot. The only reason why I haven't already is because people like it, it helps a lot with my income, and it's making its purpose, being something new in the world of K-pop."

"We've been told you're a mix of different things. Is that true?"

"Yes. I'm mostly Cuban, and part Asian, but my Asian genetics don' really show in appearance. Personally, I think my Asian side is my love for the Asian culture and countries."

There was a long pause before the interviewer asked the next question.

"Be honest, what do you really think of Chaeryeong?" The interviewer asked. My heart stopped.

"Well, I know she isn't listening, but she's amazing. She's kind, sympathetic, adorable, pretty, loving, strong, understanding, funny, and so many other things. And even then, she also has a strong side, and doesn't let people walk over the people she cares about. She's the best thing that's ever happened to me." Lillian answered truthfully, with only a bit of frustration behind her voice.

"Even better than the success of your career?"

"Yes. Like I said, she's the best thing that's ever happened to me, and nobody nor nothing can change my mind. She's... Glorious if I must say." Lillian answered. I smiled and was blushing very hard, and could tell she was as well. After a few more questions, I heard Lillian get up, which was my sign to act as if I wasn't listening and didn't hear anything. I had gone back to just looking out the window.

"Sorry that took so long, babe." Lillian apologized, hugging me from behind. I smiled.

"It's alright Lil, the rain worries me more than anything." I replied. I was carrying the leftovers of the lunch that we had gotten from our lunch date from before the interview. Lillian had took off her jacket and placed it around me, then kissed me on the cheek.

"Yeah, sorry about that, I didn't know the interview was going to be on for a few hours." Lillian apologized again.

"Don't worry about it. We'll manage. We'll have to walk though. Everyone else we know is already at home and can't give us a lift." I said, releasing another sigh. I don't like the cold.

"Here, let's walk together." Lillian said, grabbing my hand.

We had walked home in the rain, holding hands. We didn't talk much, there wasn't much to talk about today as neither of us had anything exciting to share. Suddenly, Lillian stopped in her place. I looked back at her.

"What's wrong babe?" I asked with concern.

"It's my leg. It's hurting again." Lillian answered, releasing a heavy sigh. She had recently injured her foot after stepping on a large nail, but had decided not to go to the hospital.

"Here, let me hold you." I said, carrying my girlfriend in my arms. Girlfriend? No, more like the love of my life. I'm wanting to propose to Lillian so badly, but know that I can't and shouldn't due to the marriage ban. Just one and a half more years. If I do it too early and Lillian accepts, her career will be ruined.

After a few minutes of silent walking, I look down at Lillian, who had fell asleep in my arms. She's cute naturally, but she's cuter when she's sleeping. It's a shame that I could hardly see her sleeping, as I'm usually the one to fall asleep first. Lillian woke up a few minutes later had decided to walk again, only to stop a few minutes later again.

"Want me to carry you again my sugar bear?" I asked. "I don't mind holding you."

I saw that Lillian was in tears rather than in pain.

"Babe, what's wrong? Talk to me, please." I said, not carrying that the cold rain was falling upon us anymore.

"N-nothing." Lillian lied. I placed my arms on her shoulders, as a sign to tell me the truth. "I don' want to be part of Cubasian anymore."

"Why? Is something wrong?" I asked.

"I-I feel like it's pulling us apart. Yeah, we're spending time together, but we're working the whole time, we don' get the time to do much anymore." Lillian explained. I had understood.

"If you don't want Cubasian to be a thing anymore, we can consult to JYP and WM about it, okay?"

"What about you and Chaeyeon though?"

"Don't worry about it. To be honest, I'd rather have a romantic and event full relationship with you than live a boring one where hardly anything happens." I said. "Yeah, we could become the queens of K-pop, and even if we don't, we'll be high up in the list, but what's the point if we're not happy?"

"You started making music because it had made you happy, and for you, Cubasian is ruining that. So if you need to drop out of Cubasian and disband the group in order to be happy again, I'll support you all the way, just like with everything else. Okay dear?" I explained. Lillian nodded.

I had pulled Lillian in for a kiss, not carrying if we were out in the rain. We kissed for several minutes out in the rain, with both of us gasping for breath in between every kiss and occasionally letting out soft moans.
