Only Chaeryeong

Part 57: The Proposal

Chaemin's perspective:

Today is July 19th, 2029, the third year anniversary of when Lillian officially became a soloist under JYP Entertainment, entering the world as a K-pop idol rather than a pop star. Lillian and Chaeryeong is staying at eomma, appa, and I's place since we wanted to check up on Lillian in person and wanted her to take a break from working. I walked outside of my room yawning, and into the kitchen where I saw eomma cooking. I had just woken up around half an hour ago, but stayed on my phone.

"Chaemin, do you know if the two lovebirds are awake?" Eomma asked as a entered the kitchen.

"Ummmm, I think so. I think I heard them laughing a few minutes ago, but that could've just been the video I was watching." I replied, opening up the fridge to look for some food. "Where did all of the eggs go?"

"I used them for cooking! I'm making egg rolls!" Eomma replied. "Can you tell Lillian and Chaeryeong that breakfast is ready, please?"

I nodded and headed to the room where Chaeryeong was in. I wasn't used to Lillian being here still, even after three years, and definitely not used to unnie being here either since she moved out a long time ago, but I can't say that I don't like their presence. I reached Lillian and Chaeryeong's room and heard giggling, so I knocked on the door, just in case.

"Unnie, Lillie, breakfast is ready!" I shouted. I began to call Lillian Lillie as an abbreviation that she's okay with since her mother's name is Lilly.

I heard shuffling of feet and returned to the dining room, where there were five plates on the table. A plate for each of the five of us, being Lillian, Chaeryeong, Chaeyeon, eomma, and appa. Lillian and Chaeryeong entered the dining room a few minutes later, and we all began eating.

"Congrats on the three years of being a k-pop idol!" Chaeyeon said, and Lillian looked up with a smile.

"Thank you!" Lillian replied. "I'm glad I even reached one year, honestly."

I gave Lillian a confused look. "You say that as if you're surprised you even reached three years." I blurted.

"I am. I'm surprised I was even accepted as a trainee." Lillian said.

"Hey! Yours songs are amazing!" Eomma yelled from across the table. "You have any idea how many times I've caught Chaemin vibing to your music and trying to learn the choreography? She-"

I was starting to get embarrassed, so I decided to interrupt eomma. "EOMMA!!!" I yelled, and everyone bursted out laughing. "IT'S NOT MY FAULT SHE MAKES AMAZING MUSIC AND DIFFICULT CHOREOGRAPHY"

Everyone continued laughing, and my cheeks grew red. I just continued eating until I realized something, so I had gotten up to whisper in Lillian's ear, which wasn't difficult since I was taller than her due to her being quite short.

"Lillian, it's been three years! You can propose to unnie now!" I whispered loud enough for Lillian to hear, but quite enough to where only she can hear. A smile appeared on her face, and she whispered back to me.

"I know, I'm just waiting for the message from JYP that says I can." Lillian whispered back.

We had all finished eating a few minutes later.

"What do you two wanna do?" Appa asked Lillian and Chaeryeong. The two lovebirds looked at eachother and just shrugged.

"I think we should just relax on the couch or something." Chaeryeong admitted, and my head shot up.

"Ooh! Can we play games! I reeeaaaaally wanna have a rematch with Lillian on Uno!" I asked loudly. Lillian laughed and put her head down, and everyone looked at her in approval.
